Our family used Revolution Prep for our daughter. Mark was great at pairing my daughter with a tutor, Tammy, who had stellar credentials. Tammy was very encouraging and patient with our daughter. Our daughter looked forward to her tutoring sessions because she like Tammy so much! I always heard laughter and my daughter would be all smiles afterwards. Our poor daughter even had tutoring during while we were out of the country on vacation and never uttered a complaint! The sessions had no electronic glitches. We received 5 practice tests, and a study guide. A few times, my daughter lost track of the time for her lesson. Tammy emailed me to check up on my daughter which was a nice touch. Our daughter did very well on the ACT, scoring at the level acceptable for MIT and the Ivy's. We could not be happier with Tammy, Mark, and Revolution Prep.

We have been using Revolution Prep for our older son for about three years now, and our younger son for about two years. We trialed two tutors, and found one that met our needs with the third. So, first, I applaud Revolution Prep for understanding that the personal connection between a teacher and student is one of the most important things in helping a student learn new material. Finding a teacher that "speaks" the same language and approaches the subject matter with a common goal have been critical in helping our sons achieve their potential. Revolution Prep has helped our sons in test prep (PSAT/SAT), writing, math (Algebra 2, Pre-AP pre-calculus, AP calculus AB & BC) and science (pre-AP and AP Chemistry, pre-AP Physics and AP Physics C). The second major plus in Revolutions column is reflected in this list. One tutor has been able to help our sons with all of these subjects. His knowledge is broad and deep, and as parents, we appreciate the fact that he is not just teaching them shortcuts but trying to instill a deep understanding that tries to teach understanding rather than memorization in preparation for an exam. The only downsides I can name would be the cost -- for two sons with multiple subjects this has not been an inexpensive endeavor -- and availability. As one could imagine, every student wants to do tutoring at the same time (after school before it gets too late, on Sunday afternoons / evenings), so it can be difficult finding availability with short notice (e.g., right before an exam when a student needs to show mastery). With adequate planning, this can be managed.

The process of setting up tutoring was very easy and my son's tutor has been great. He's very patient and bright.

I first left a message for Hope Goldberger to obtain information for online ACT/SAT Prep for our son. I received a return phone call within 2 hours. Hope took a great deal of time to discuss our needs, her recommendations and how Revolution Prep could meet our needs. She made suggestions for possible online tutors based on our son's profile, and immediately set-up an online meeting with our son to determine for herself who would be a good fit. The person she choose has worked out fantastically. We originally only set up for 8 sessions, and once it became clear that it was going well, we purchased additional lessons. The online website makes it super easy to schedule and edit sessions as well as purchase additional sessions. Hope was diligent in checking in with us to see how things were going throughout the sessions. This has been a wonderful experience from start to finish.

While the sessions are expensive, the value is definitely worth it. The tutors are very accommodating and helpful. Thank you!

My daughter took a Small Group Course with Revolution Prep, and we were EXTREMELY happy with her score improvement. The online group setting was super convenient, and full-time professional tutor absolutely exceeded expectations. She felt really confident going into the test and achieved / exceeded her score goals. No amount of self study could've prepared her like this class!
