I recently used their service for a contract review. The lawyer assigned to me was great—very polite, easy to communicate with, and accommodating with appointments and follow-up calls. That part of the experience was positive. However, I specifically chose a service where the lawyer was supposed to communicate with my recruiter and handle the negotiations. Unfortunately, that aspect fell short. The communication between the lawyer and my recruiter was not as expected, and in the end, I had to step in and negotiate on my own out of frustration. When you pay for a service, you expect them to handle the full scope of what was promised. While the contract review itself was solid, the lack of follow-through on negotiations was disappointing. * Name Shown Is Not Real, changed for privacy!.

I reviewed the contract with attorney Skyler Mickelson He is not as experienced as I expected. He did have some good observations. I had to add a couple of points to my contract or ask him to subtract some in order to get closer to what I wanted. I did not like to just write emails, it seems it is the preferred way of communication. I did not sign the contract after all and cannot speak for the negotiation part. I also am an experienced physician, so I know more about what a contract should look like.

Attorney gained a bump in salary for me, and was always quickly responsive to me via email. However, I was told he could handle the negotiations, but none were ever done on their end. In the end, I did everything myself and wish they had been more proactive. I would not return to this company, and in fact, sent other contracts for review to another attorney.

Wish there were evening hours

There were 2 components of the contract review process. I did not use another agency so this may be biased: 1) Compensation- this was a valuable assessment. The agent was professional and fair. It did give me perspective on the package analysis and how it fit with others in the region. Also gave points to negotiate based on their analysis. 2) Contract- Minimal analysis on this. They really didnt raise much red flags although this process could have been a little more personalized. Offered to negotiate for me, but I deferred as the points werent that major. I did most of the reading of the contract and raised points myself. Overall, if I had to do it all over, I would have gone to another firm (there are only a handful of them that previously wrote columns for practicelink). I would consult with practicelink for background reading and look into resources on the web about the contract process, esp for 1st time clients (MD first job).

Our initial impression of the company was great and the services they had to offer us was impressive. However, the agent assigned to us was average and did not follow through as promised and expected. The attorney and financial advisor were great and their services were very valuable.

I thought overall Resolve helped me with my job search but the process was not as smooth as I was expecting. There were bumps along the way. At times it took a long time to get a reply from them and in the beginning we were promised things that they were later unable to deliver. The services with the financial advisor and the lawyer were probably the most helpful. While the tailored job search was at times helpful for somebody that is already so busy, it was not as tailored as I thought it would be. It seemed like they just massed e-mailed everybody on my behalf. At the end of it I ended up finding a job myself.

Overall Resolve was very helpful in looking for a position for both me and my wife. However, please read the fine prints before signing the contract as we ended up still paying a commission fee of 3% on our contract that we had found independent from Resolve.
