Room 2074
Room 2074. Bed was very comfortable and at a comfortable height. It was nice being on the top floor of the renovated rooms Ipanema tower. The floor-to-ceiling windows provided an outstanding view! The design of the shower to have a hand slot to allow turning on the shower without having to be IN the shower was excellent! On the down side, the shower had 2 shampoos & 1 conditioner; no body wash (a simple oversight). The light to the left of the bathroom mirror blinked or stayed off. MOST important, the design of the shower - with the open back end - allowed water to flow out onto the floor - especially when the shower head was initially pointed toward the opening when the maids or previous guests left it that way. The water flowed almost to the wall outside the bathroom before we noticed, @ the floor was dangerously slippery! I slipped, but didn't fall, but another guest could easily be hurt as a result, and water damage to the room could also occur. I luckily noticed & was able to towel up the water and redirect the showerhead before any damage or injury occurred. Lastly, I had seen a picture of a room with a bathtub next to the window, that I (mistakenly) thought was representative of the room I had reserved, but, alas, it was not. That was probably my mistake... But even without that feature, the room was nice.
