We love the products, this shipment the frozen ground beef was irregular shaped, almost as if it had thawed and then been refrozen. We prepared some and tasted the same 7/31 update, Rep responded and explained the situation, all is good. Please see their reply

Hi John! Thank you for your feedback! We’re so happy you are happy with the products! I’m very sorry for the odd shaped packages. I can assure you the meat has not been thawed and then refrozen. Sometimes when the meat gets packaged and if it’s not stacked just right before freezing, the packages can mold and freeze into odd shapes. We support small family owned processing facilities that don’t have some of the same commercial equipment that larger operations use. So even though it doesn’t always look as presentable as we’d like, it is still perfectly safe to consume. Again, I’m very sorry about that. The product is great. The regenerative farming appears to be genuine. The way I set up my recurring shipment (subscription) is somewhat opaque to me. I am not sure it is me or whether it could be improved. I am ok with that because I love the product and the farm. Thanks

Hey Beth! Thank you so much for your feedback and thank you for continuing to support us all this time even though the shipping is a bit high in your area. Our shipping fee is based on the area that you are in and unfortunately, you are in one of our most expensive shipping areas. I noticed you have a subscription every 30 days. I’m not sure if it is a possibility for you, but if you could double your order every 60 days instead of your regular order every 30 days, you would meet the free shipping threshold since shipping is free for $175 or above. Just a suggestion! We truly do appreciate you and your support. It means the world to our small family farms and regenerative agriculture! 🙏🏻🥰

Hi Rena! Thank you so much for your feedback! I’m very sorry to hear you had a bad experience with the steaks. Grass fed, grass finished steaks do have their own challenges when cooking the perfect steak, as they are very different from a grass fed, grain finished steak. Since we don’t feed any grain, consistency is difficult. It’s extremely difficult to make every beef finish exactly the same each time and it will vary from beef to beef due to genetic differences or seasonal differences in grass species they are grazing at the time. So although it’s the healthiest way to eat beef, and even though you may have had grass finished beef before, one grass finished beef may not always be as tender as the next and unfortunately, sirloins are not always the most tender cut. The products are great for sure and that’s why I continue to buy it. However, the packaging is ok at best. I just had another pound of beef with the package wide open. And it seems to happen not often but, ever so often. The meat was grey and I had to throw it away. The last time I brought this up to management I was told if I wasn’t happy to go buy elsewhere. So the customer service is lack luster as well. But the products are top notch!!!!

Hi James, thank you so much for taking the time to provide your feedback. We really appreciate that! We’re very pleased to know you’ve been happy with our products. And we are very sorry that our customer service hasn’t been satisfactory for you. After looking further into this issue, I do see where you reached out in disappointment when you mistakenly thought you were shorted some of your products and we replied letting you know that what you received was correct. I also see where you had some issues with some of the packaging being damaged during transit. Unfortunately that does happen from time to time. During the shipping process, our boxes can take quite a beating. The packaging can become very hard and brittle at times due to the extreme cold temperatures inside the box from the dry ice and micro holes, tears or damage can occur. We do carefully examine each package for any damage or defects before placing inside the box. This only happens during transit. When micro holes or damage occurs, and if oxygen reaches the meat, it can cause the meat to discolor which does not mean the meat has spoiled. We don’t spray our meat with carbon monoxide before packaging like some companies do to prevent discoloration. We don’t believe in using any unnatural processes with our meat. Again, thank you so much for your feedback James and for supporting our small family farms.

I really like the company, their products are of good quality, above all I preferred this farm to others because of its transparency and honesty in its beef, since they do not inject their cattle with vaccines, or hormones, or antibiotics. The only reason I do not give it 5 stars is because of the very high price, and the weight of their beef cuts. We are a family of 6 and perhaps the prices should be a little lower or they should increase the weight of their cuts or increase their quantity. For everything else, their meats are very good and tasty.
