I waited for Focus's rental car to pick me up from the airport from 10:30pm to 2:30 am. When contacted, they said there was no specific time to pick us up. After arriving at the rental property, they wanted to charge me a penalty of 50% of my entire rent for showing up one hour later, even though it was their fault. I did not accept it, and I ordered an Uber instead. What a terrible mistake I committed by utilising your services. Never again. I attempted to contact rentalcars.com desperately without success; what a disgusting experience after travelling long hours I had to experience. Sämsta jag varit med om. Hertz godkände inte mig på creditupplysning när jag skulle hämta ut bilen. Ringde Hertz och dom sa ring imorgon så löser vi detta då det var 1 söndag. Sagt och gjort ringde på måndag och de säger vi upprättar 1 ärende och pengar kommer om 10 dagar. 11 dagar går och ja ringer tillbaka, får till svar att nä du bokade via Rentalcar så ta det med dom! Öhh va säger du va min fråga. Men ok mailar Rentalcar då de inte har Svensktalande längre, och 3 dagar senare får man att jag skulle ringt dom direkt(kl 10 söndag inte öppet) Får inte mina pengar tillbaka! Tjyvar och banditer är va de är! HYR ALDRIG AV DEM!!!

Terrible service: They never refunded the rental fees although I proved that there were NO CARS available at the pickup time. They didn't provide a reason other than the generic standard response which indicates they never looked at what happened; people were waiting for 4-6 hours at the airport to pick up their reserved cars but this rentalcars.com support team refuse to listen. They charged my credit card at the time of reservation; not at the pickup time and this is a RED FLAG!!

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Rentalcars.com. I booked a car in advance to pick up at Charles de Gaulle Airport. Unfortunately, my flight with Austrian Airlines was delayed by two hours, and by the time I arrived, the Europcar desk had already closed. When I returned the next morning to collect the car, Europcar refused to honor my reservation, despite the delay being entirely out of my control. I reached out to Rentalcars.com for assistance, expecting support or a refund since the rental terms were not fulfilled. However, I received no resolution, leaving me with unnecessary expenses of over $500 AUD and significant frustration. ⚠️ BE AWARE: If you cannot pick up your car on the same day, you WILL NOT be able to collect your car, and you WILL NOT receive any refund. I strongly recommend renting directly from a car rental company (such as Europcar or SIXT) rather than through a third-party site—especially not Rentalcars.com.

Ok. This is what happened: After we had waited at the airport for 1h, then record go told me to contact booking. They can and will not help. tried to get support from booking.com but no number just a web form. In the meantime because no answer and nothing to get support from we booked another car from europcar. Just to get to the hotel. 3h later got this email with a number. I called. Support employee told me the terms and conditions where in the approval email and so they can give my rented and payed car to someone else and i need to book another car prepaid then i get my money back. There would be no other option. Checked the approval email for the booking. No word about when to pickup the car. But then found it somewhere in a linked document. Honestly? Bad trick! Will never book anything via booking.com, rentalcars.com or record go. 310€ stolen money. Shame on you!

Teurer Spaß mit viel Ärger! Ich habe im Mai über Rentalcars gebucht. Kleines Auto zum kleinen Preis (165 Euro). Eine Woche vorher musste ich feststellen, dass die Abholzeit nicht an die Flugzeit angepasst worden war. Ich rief Rentalcar an. Sie gaben an, Niemanden zu erreichen und wollten eine Mail schreiben an CRC Lisboa. Ich kontaktierte CRC nach 3 Tagen selber. Mir wurde mitgeteilt, dass sich Rentalcar nicht gemeldet habe und dass nur Rentalcar die Abholzeit verändern könne. Ich rief wieder Rentalcar an. Diese meinten, das könne nur CRC, ich solle stornieren. Das tat ich. Das Auto kostete jetzt 340 Euro. Vor Ort konnte ich mit der Kreditkarte mit der ich beide Male bezahlt hatte nicht bezahlen, da ich nicht der Hauptfahrer sei. Die Visadebit des Hauptfahrers wurde nicht akzeptiert. Bei der Änderung des Hauptfahrers wiederholte sich das Spiel. Keiner war zuständig. Keiner könne etwas ändern. Ich könne aber für 479,99 Euro den gleichen kleinen Wagen gerne neu buchen und mit meiner Karte bezahlen. Eine Stornierung der letzten Buchung war wieder nicht möglich, da offiziell der Mietzeitraum schon begonnen hatte. Nach unzähligen Mails bekam ich von Rentalcars eine Teilrückerstattung ohne Entschuldigung für den grottenschlechten Service. Um etwas Positives zu nennen. Die Rückgabe funktionierte problemlos. Ich habe am Ende 480 Euro plus die Stornierungsgebühr bezahlt und das nur, weil es keine Änderungsoptionen gab. Ich war kein Einzelfall an diesem Tag bei CRC. Ich würde nicht wieder buchen. Aufgrund von mangelndem Service habe ich 400 Euro mehr bezahlt. Das finde ich unzumutbar.

We arrived in Italy on September 17th. I had a reservation for a car with in Napoli and they didn't give us the service because they asked for the international license and they didn't validate the license from the State of Washington USA . The lady who helped us with terrible customer service ; supposedly cancelled and until today they haven't reimbursed us anything! We have spoken with 3 different people and nothing! Terrible service! They haven't reimbursed me for the cancellation fee. Be careful with that. I had to rent another car directly with Herts that day !
