Rentalcars.comReviews of renatlcars.com

I rent a car online in rentalcars.com for 13 Euros for 1 day, when I went to pick up in the airport, the car rental company asked me for 93 euros extra. This was NOT optional. So I left without any car and lost the money paid at rentalcars.com. Never again with this site.

My car rental was twice as expensive, then was stated. Had probably most expensive car rental all in the city. Just save yourself some money and look somewhere else.

Scammed by Avis Budget in Stockholm Airport as they keep charging me on my card long after the trip. Rentalcars claim they can’t do anything about it even though the car was booked through their website. Do not use their services.

I rented a car in Bulgaria through Rentalcars. Their local partner turned out to be a thug outfit with no office, no document issued upon return and a 100% rate of just keeping people's deposits – according to a 100% fully negative Google rating profile. Now, my contract is with Rentalcars, but they absolutely refuse to deal with this since I entered into a contract with them through a third party website. That site says correctly that they are not a part of this contract. Meanwhile Rentalcars' entirely useless 'service' literally wrote to me that their hands are tied anyway regarding actions of their local partners. Hence they fully assist in this scam. My loss: 510€.

I booked a 12-day car rental through Rentalcars.com, trusting their “No Hidden Fees” claim. This is completely false! Major Issues I Experienced: 1️⃣ Hidden Costs: They never told me about a €2,300 deposit unless I bought the rental company’s overpriced insurance (€155). Completely misleading! 2️⃣ No Refund for Unused Days: I had to shorten my rental from 12 days to 6 days due to unexpected charges. They refused to refund the unused days! 3️⃣ False Advertising: Their website says “No Hidden Fees”, yet I was hit with extra charges at pick-up. I have proof (see screenshot)! 4️⃣ Terrible Customer Service: They refused to help or take responsibility for their misleading pricing. 📢 I have filed complaints with EU Consumer Protection and Spanish authorities for false advertising. ❌ Avoid this company at all costs! Book directly with rental companies to avoid hidden charges.

Avoid! For a second time in few months, my deposit was not returned although the car was returned intact and confied to not have any damages by protocol from the local company. First they advised me to wait 14 days, then 30 days, then it was too late to have a chargeback. Planned scam..
