Rentalcars.comReviews of renatlcars.com

Hold dig langt væk fra dette svindler firma, de charger dig bare i øst og vest uden hæmninger..... og gør din klagemulighed så besværlig og langtrukket, og om du så bare bliver ved, holder de bare op med at svare..... STAY AWAY FROM THIS FIRM

basic waste of money. they can not help with anything. all questions about insurance they will not answer and the local rental companies require extra insurance. book only with those present at the airport.

This was my first time using this website for a car rental and it would be my last. I've never experienced such a horrible service until today. I called them after I left from the pick up place for my rental because beside the money I had already paid they were trying to add another $900. On the booking website the deposit or any other charges were shown. The deposit is understandable, but there was no explanation for the rest of the money they were charging us. I called them spoke to a representative and they told me that since I had already left the place without a car they were not able to help me or return my money. I wouldnt have mind taking the car if they would've explained to me the charges added, but no one had an explanation so I left with no car and according to the representative I can't get my money back. AVOID THIS PLACE.

Booked car for 3 days from Rentalcars.com to pick up from Hertz Southampton Airport branch, should pick the car at 10:00am, but no one was there when I arrived. The Hertz officer has arrived half a hour late. And she has just focused on refuse to release the car. Despite I have provided all needed documents what mentioned in rentalcars.com booking confirmation, she asked adress proof as an extra. I have provided bank statement and driving license for adress proof as well , but she did not accept. She has asked bills. At the end, I lost whole my program, waste my time, and even they did not refund my money back. They are like swindler. Like have no enough car in the fleet, just do tricks. Even no one supported from rentalcars.com customer services regarding to the case despite called a long time. At the end I have reached to some rentalcars number, they said that no have any authority for them. Rentalcars and HERTZ are completely swindler and unprofessional companies !

Very misleading T&Cs led to Rentalcars.com taking our booking money and us receiving no car. There was no notification that the car must be collected at the exact time and that if we were delayed, they would cancel the booking. The vendor advised that if you book direct then in a situation like this the credit could be applied to a new booking, so much better to go direct rather than through rentalcars.com.

I booked a car from 16.08.2020 until 19.08.2020 in Villach (Austria) I did receive my confirmation E-Mail, so on the 16.08.2020 i went to the Rental Car company ( Global Rrent a car / Buchbinder) in Villach in „Italienerstraße 44) as soon as i arrived there the lady said, that she has no car, so i said well i got a confirmation E-Mail that you actually do have a car, as well as i allready paid the full price! She tried to reach her Manager, no answer. She tried to call the Buchbinder Hotline, no answer. I called rentalcars.com got a lady on the phone who was trying to get an English confirmation that there is no cars available from the lady at the counter (who did not speak english). Then the agent hung up while in the middle of a sentence! I tried calling again and the next advisor from rentalcars.com did look if there is other supplieres closeby but there was not! Long story short, i left the place without a car, rentalcars.com did take my money and has since not even bothered to speed up the refund process! I have no car and they took the money, now i have to wait more than a week until i will get the money back they kept without any service for me besides massive frustration and stress! By all means this is not the first time i was disappointed by the quality of Service with rentalcars.com BUT it will definetly be the last time! I rather pay more in future and go directly to a rental car provider rather than just pay for nothing at all, not even an offer of any form of compensation! It is a total disgrace to confirm and make people actually prepare their trips pay for train tickets and let them show up on site just to disappoint them and still take their money!

We have booked a car through rental cars.com. On the booking date, they have sent us to another site/supplier (Drive2u). Within couple of hours car was booked and money was taken out our account. On the day we supposed to pick up car we realise, after about 1h of searching for Drivers office, that there was not such company and the address they have provided us with was for a local shop( owner of the shop was quite annoyed when we turned up to his shop asking for the car as apparently we were not the first ones to be directed there). Once we realised we were never going to get a car, we call Drive2u office but the number was disconnected. Than we contacted rentalcars.com and at first we got the impression that the situation was going to be resolved but after a few hours of waiting and few more phone calls we realised that nothing will be sorted so we decided to cancel the rental and receive a refund. It has now been nearly a month since the bad experience and we still didn't get our money back. When I called last time and they keep said that they are waiting for their supplier to reply i have asked what is happening if supplier doesn't reply for 6months- the answer was simple, we will not get our money back until they hear from their supplier, even if it takes 6months. Definitely one to avoid, on first look their website looks professional and trustworthy, but is not. Looks more like a website made to steal money from people. BE AWARE!

Price I was charged was much higher then the price which was in offer! After I asked for explanations My booking was cancelled.
