No car when arriving Booked a car through rentalcars. When arriving to pick it up by Sixt, they informed that they had cancelled the booking against rentalcars, which we were not informed about from rentalcars. And since Sixt had no cars and there were no alternatives in Frankfurt, we were left without a rental car and had to take a taxi to the destination 150 km away.

We rented and paid for a car to be picked up from Montpellier Centre and when we reached Montpellier we found out that the car was instead one hour away from the city center. This resulted in a delay and even though we called the company to let them know, when we got there no one was at the desk. We called Rentalcars to find out that as no one showed up they simply gave the car away to someone else, even though we paid for the car and they took our money! Now they are claiming that they won't refund the money back. This company is a scam, avoid it if you can! I have been a customer for several years but I will certainly never use them again.

Reserved and paid for car with full insurance with a guaranteed shuttle service. Upon arrival at Liverpool airport at 11.00 pm, I phoned the company to get picked up only to be told I could either walk 20 minutes to the Rentalcars agency or pay £4.00!I paid the fee and was taken to the agency. As I had booked an early morning return flight I asked the agent what time the shuttle bus would take me to the airport only to be told that I could either take a taxi £15 (if one was available, or do the 20 minute walk! I was then asked for my credit card to cover costs?? As I only have a debit card I was told I would have to pay an extra £35 per day of the rental! At this point I left the agency, refusing to take the car as there was no guarantee I would make my flight back in time and the company obviously can not be trusted with any hidden charges upon returning the car. I was stranded in an industrial zone but I finally made it to my father's funeral thanks to UBER. I have since written and telephoned to no avail, their lack of customer care is disgusting. Don't use the, go with Europcar, I've never had a bad experience with them.

Really bad experience. Rental Cars has no direct connection with the car companies and take no responsibility to inform the details about when to pickup. We were late by 15 min and the car pickup was already closed. They didn’t mention that we need to pickup before this time. We had no car for a day and had to wait till next day. Also the car was different for what we paid for and we paid more for what we got. Also customer service is unresponsive and when we called to talk about the issue and rebook the lady continuously hung up on us even after calling 10 times to rebook. I live in Australia so I am aware of things but this experience would have worsen for the International travellers who are not at all familiar to this place. Please improve and try to provide details to customers and take responsibility.

Offering car rentals from fraudulent companies. No assistance provided and extremely hard to even contact the customer care. You have to go through a horribly difficult process just to be able to respond to their generic e-mail reply. And to find out your case is already closed as resolved. (cannot reply to email directly, you have to log into their website, enter your reservation number from one e-mail, pin code from another, etc. And then you have a letter limit for your message). Car rental costed us ca 5x the original amount.

The worst customer experience ever. Their support is useless beyond words. Please choose another service

They refuse to resolve an issue with an additional insurance charged on the car pickup by the renting company, whichs contradicts the conditions stated on the booking voucher

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. I booked a car with them and the local rental company refused to allow me to pick up the car. I spent hours trying to get ahold of them, after finally getting on the phone with someone they refused to offer me a refund. The customer service representative was also rude and standoff-ish on the phone.
