Just a broker, which you can not get old of if there is an issue when collecting the car. We had to pay extra after the company refused an Amex and a debit card. Looking the the paperwork they sent it does not specify what cards they accept. Will stick with enterprise next time

Misleading booking. They quoted a total price but this excluded one way rental, despite the rental being booked as one way. Poor customer service follow up too.

The rental process was Ok, but I made the mistake of getting their unnecessary insurance. They say you can cancel it but then they became unavailable, then they asked me for the receipt of the insurance I did get with the rental company, and then they started bouncing me from clerk to clerk claiming they can't open the file, made me save it as a PDF, JPG, take screen shots, and generally make a fool of myself. I ended up writing them to either give me the refund or never contact me again and I'll simply write my opinion of them as a review - and here it is...

Do not use, go direct. We arranged a hire car with full insurance on Booking.com who apparently use this company although you are never told this. Booked and paid for a hire car including full insurance, the best they offered. Upon collecting the car from Pisa Airport, Italy we were told the insurance we purchased is not allowed. We either had to buy their insurance or put a deposit down of £1500.00. We had luggage and children and wanted to get out of the airport so paid £209.00 for their insurance, absolute scam. We tried to get Hertz but no cars available, we were stuck with Goldcar. Be very careful using them. Book direct no need to let this company earn a commission when they are not transparent.

I had booked a car but incorrectly entered 8am instead of 8pm I cannot get a reply on the phone and they have kept my money (over€500) Goldcar cancelled the booking and wanted €1900 for another car. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR GOLDCAR THRU THEM

Paid for the car. Arrived at rental office on time and manager informed me that my car was not available. I could only get a smaller car but I will have to pay to them directly and reimburse money back from RentalCars. I could not get money back.

Rentalcars.com are a scam beware ... I was 1hr late as BA flight London to Milan was late and they cancelled my booking and left me stranded late at night in Milan...and refused to give me a refund. In short, stay away from this scam. I had paid for the car if late (due to BA) its my car I paid for it. So they made double from this scam and maybe there was no car anyway. Beware. Worst customer experience ever, and I’m an old fart! It took about a dozen calls to realize that the customer help line is completely systematically broken. In fact the German number even tells you up front that it has been shut down indefinitely before cynically moving on to offer various numbered options. If you opt for an English operator, you’re again led through various options before being told that you’ve called outside operating hours. Spoiler alert: you get this message even during operating hours! The only hope is the chat function. The people are very nice and apologetic and so forth, but this company owes me a four figure sum for a claim they approved. I just want to see those numbers on my account balance. I can’t put all of the „excuse me sirs“ and „I understand your frustrations“ in the bank. I just want my money. Never again booking.com never again rentalcars.com. Stay away from these companies if you know what’s good for you. Update: I did actually get my money on the date they said they’d transferred it, so no problem there. The real problem is with the customer service system. It should not have taken dozens of phone calls and two weeks to get this sorted out. My advice to users of the service is: don’t bother trying to get help over the phone. Go straight to the chat function. My advice to the company: if you want a telephone help line, make sure it’s up and running during the hours advertised. Otherwise, just eliminate it entirely. It not only adds zero value, it just pisses off your customers.
