I am giving 1 star because there is no option to give 0 which Rentalcars.com deserves. Yes I did not take time to read all the T&Cs. But for them to keep the full amount of the rental with full insurance coverage (I rented a car for 16 days) after it appears that the car renter takes only credit card which I do not have. THIS IS STEALING.Technically I was wrong but the total amount I paid 141,38€ are also technically, for a service not used and not rendered.

Never never ever trust them. They are scams.

rented an enterprise car through rental cars - returned car early was told by enterprise we would be refunded for days not needed. Contacted rental cars customer service very unhelpful had to complete a form to raise issue- contacted today advised no refund for the days unused but they could give me a discount on next booking - I will never book with this company again - avoid and go with reputable company

WE HAVE LOST $1500 AUSTRALIAN. CAR RENTAL.COM AND NOLEGGIARE ARE SCAMMERS. We are from Australia and booked a car through RENTALCARS.COM with NOLEGGIOARE in Malpensa Milan in September. So many issues. 1. We waited 90-minutes for the shuttle pick up at airport and then a 90-minute wait to be served at the shed that doubles as an office. The staff are slow. There were lots of unhappy customers (including Italians) that were complaining about the smaller car size other than one they booked and cars were filthy. 2. Noleggiare offered us expensive insurance which we refused as we have travel insurance that covers excess. ( dont tell them that though ). And they asked for a holding deposit of 600 euro which they said would be reimbursed on drop off. They gave us a list a mile long of pre-existing scratches and damage on the car. We took our own video and photos anyway but i couldn't believe how damaged it was already on pick up. At the end of the rental period we had not incurred any further damages at all and filled the tank on drop off. When we dropped off the car the shuttle bus pulled in quickly behind us and a guy grabbed our bags to take us to the airport straight away. I asked if we need to go to the office and they said no. In the next 2 days they had taken 930 euro ($1500 AUD) out of our bank account. No explanation. No paperwork. When we complained they finally sent us a list of minor scratches which we definitely did not make and some photos which were taken underneath the car!!! When we complained they sent us a bogus document with my forged signature stating we accepted the damage, which did not happen. RENTAL CAR .COM were no help and told us to deal with NOLEGGIARE direct which we have been doing, to no avail. Steer clear of RENTAL CAR .COM also as they obviously don't care that customers are scammed every other day. My Italian friends are so embarrassed this has happened in their country. DO NOT USE THESE COMPANIES IN ITALY.

Very poor experience with rental cars.com We were booked with green motions and made a payment with a debit card. The company told us they don’t take debit card so we had to pay a penalty of £220. When we called the agent, they were extremely unhelpful and told us we don’t have any other options. On top of the nearly £100 for 4 days, we had to pay the penalty of £220. Extortionate, unhelpful and poor service. Will not be using again.

Very rude and unhelpful customer service, I had already a paid car booked in Ancona airport and when I went to pick up was told that was no booking. Called them straight away but not help was given, and their staff were extremely rude. At the end I was left stranded at the airport, and had to spend over 100 euros for taxi and hotel. AVOID!!!!!!!!... This is probably the first review i've ever written but the manner in which these guys are ran is a joke. Picked-up car which wasn't fit for purpose from rent-a car and returned it, no issues. However these guys have refused to refund me its, apparently its still being investigated despite me providing confirmation from the dealer about the car, ITS BEEN WELL OVER 1 MONTH, HOW DIFFICULT IS IT TO CONFIRM THIS... PLEASE DO YOURSELVES A FAVOUR AND AVOID THIS COMPANY..

I booked a car through Booking.com. When I showed up at the rental place in Miami, the guy was late by 30 minutes. He wanted me to pay an additional $200 for SLI insurance, which I had already purchased through my usual UK insurance company. He said they did not accept non-US insurances. My friend offered his AMEX, which comes with insurance, but he said, "his name wasn't in the reservation, therefore he couldn't use his." I called booking customer service right away, and you get bounced from one agent to another. I had to wait until the end of the rental to file a claim, then I received a response saying, "I should've contacted them on the spot," which I did. While their T&C state you need mandatory SLI, it doesn't state it has to be US based so clearly a scam. They clearly don't communicate with each other. In the end, I had to open a credit card dispute. Stay away from this company if you want to avoid headaches.
