Remote Coworker and Exceptional Service
RCW has been attentive and provided quality service throughout the process. We had a change in VAs and provided us a quality group to choose from. our VA, Ceannen picked up where we left off and has anticipated our needs and helped us grow our business by being the warm professional and first contact with our clients. We have been incredibly pleased with each person we have worked with from Remote CoWorker.

Disappointing Service and Unreasonable 30-Day Notice Despite Performance Issues
Unfortunately, our experience with this company has been extremely disappointing.
We engaged them because we believed we were paying a premium for a properly vetted virtual assistant and the support of an agency behind that placement. The candidate was presented to us as one of their strongest options. In practice, however, we have dealt with repeated missed deadlines, missed meetings, incomplete work, lack of follow-up and numerous errors. We have spent more time managing, correcting and following up on the VA's work than the service has saved us. At this point, it has actually cost our business money.
What has been even more disappointing is how the agency has handled our request to terminate. We are not cancelling because we simply changed our minds or decided we no longer need a VA. We are asking to terminate because the person they placed is repeatedly not completing the work we are paying for.
Despite raising these performance concerns, we are being held to an additional 30-day notice period, meaning we are expected to continue paying full price for another month for a service that is already not being adequately delivered.
I understand having contractual notice periods under normal circumstances. However, I would expect an agency to have a reasonable process for situations where its placement is demonstrably not performing the role—particularly when there are documented missed meetings, missed deadlines and incomplete work.
The experience has also left us questioning the value of the agency model in this case. We expected meaningful vetting, accountability and support behind the candidate being recommended, not simply an introduction based largely on a resume followed by the client assuming the performance risk.
We genuinely wanted this relationship to work, but unfortunately the quality of the placement, lack of accountability and the response to our concerns have left us extremely disappointed.

VA for RemoteCoWork
I worked with Remote CoWorker as a VA and would like to share my experience in a balanced and constructive way.
Positive points
• The pre-onboarding process was extremely fast and efficient.
• The team was responsive, quick, attentive, and clearly interested in starting the employment contract as soon as possible.
• There was good flexibility during the process.
• Payments were always on time, made twice a month without delays.
Areas for improvement
• In my perception, virtual assistants (VAs) are sometimes treated more like “resources” than professionals. They seem valued mainly while they are actively working for a client, which can lead to rushing important steps for both the VA and the hiring company.
• The onboarding was so fast that it skipped key steps, such as a careful alignment between the client’s expectations and what the VA can realistically offer.
• After onboarding, there was little or no ongoing support, which made problem-solving more difficult.
• VAs can become very dependent on impulsive clients that can get frustrated easily. Some clients later realize they are paying above market rates and want to cancel their contract with Remote CoWorker, using the VA as the main reason. Unfortunately, some clients seem to hire VAs mainly to avoid applying the labor legislation of their own countries.
• The negotiation style, both regarding salaries and the fees charged to client companies, felt quite aggressive. Remote CoWorker retains a large portion of what the client pays and passes on only a fraction to the VAs.
Caution / Attention
Be careful and aware: if you are matched with an impulsive client, your remote career can end very abruptly with no or fake reason.
In some cases, the client may use the VA as the reason to break the contract simply because they later decide the price is too high and they do not want to keep paying that amount.
As the more vulnerable party in this situation, the VA can be seriously harmed. This can also affect future opportunities, as other companies may become hesitant to hire you after such an experience.
Final comment
Overall, Remote CoWorker is efficient in getting contracts started quickly and pays on time. However, I believe the company could greatly improve by slowing down the onboarding process to ensure better alignment, offering stronger post-onboarding support on VA side also to understand what actually is happening, and adopting a fairer and more transparent model for VA compensation and client negotiations.
I hope this feedback helps other companies and professionals make a more informed decision.
