REIReviews of rei.com

I do like to shop REI sales. I really like the way the stores laid out but as long as they use LSO for their delivery service I will never order another thing from them. LSO has to be the worst company ever. They will lie to you on the phone . I still have not received my items.

I bought several backpacks from them. One got broken real quick so I reached out and exchanged that one for a new model. But the new one is not as durable as they say. I use it for 3-day hikes 4-5 times per year. After 2 years it had several issues. I repaired and still keep it but I won't buy a new backpack from them anymore.

Rei is a great source for outdoor gear, with outrageous pricing. You accept that going in. But, last month I bought some pants, and the cashier said oh if you spend about $7 more dollars we will give you a $20 gift card.. ok, that is easy. What she did not tell me, was that it was for a future purchase. So, Today, I went in to get additional items, and wanted to use that $20 today, and it was a day out from expiration and they would not grant. What a scam... I will not be shopping there any longer... in fact, I think I will return the purchase from today, based simply on principle.

Of all the places I've shopped in Pittsburgh and Raleigh, REI is the place where things (outdoor goods, like shoes, bags, rain gear) really seems to last the longest. I've got a pair of shoes from them that lasted 8 years, a backpack that lasted 9 years, and some other things that haven't got any wear. So yes, they are expensive, but if it's good enough, well, expensive is OK as it lasts!

REI sent me advertising if I paid my phone bill each month with my REI card I would have phone insurance. THIS IS A SCAM AND DON'T FALL FOR IT !!!!! I've been paying my phone bill through REI for over 2 years. Then I did have damage to my phone while exploring the wilderness. For 3 months now I have been sending the same documents over and over again to prove, I guess, I had a phone. Now they want a damage estimate for a broken phone that was turned in to the phone company. I was given a credit of $5 for my broken phone and that's all the damage estimate I have. Which isn't good enough for them. THIS IS A SCAM AND DON'T FALL FOR IT !!!!

I love shopping my sport goods here. Very nice quality and always good customer service as well. The first time i visited the store i was surprised they have an area of returned items for sale and it's way cheaper. Of course every item comes with information of how long was it used. Also loved the discount I had for being a new member of their club or something!

Absolutely love this store and great selection. Always positive experience.
