Would have liked more information on use of strap on braces and how often and when to use them....Unclear messaging on this. Otherwise very good experience.

I feel like the communication with the doctor was excellent. Dr, Stiene with Beacon Orthopedics made sure I understood all aspects of treatment and recovery. As far as the treatment itself, it went very smoothly. Definitely better than surgery! Regarding outcomes, my knee is about 70% better at this point. Definitely less pain than before treatment, but still some pain and lack of mobility.

My knees hurt everyday as I tried to workout running, biking or lifting, after 15 years in the military and 20 years as JH/HS XC/Track coach. I thought the end of athletics was near as a 60 year old. My husband used Promedica Regeverative Medicine in Toledo, one of Regenexx’s clinics, for treatment of pain, arthritis, and laxity and instability of his right knee after having a military duty related injury to his right meniscus. A good orthopedic surgeon removed most of the medial meniscus, and because he was experiencing continued pain and instability, he suggested he either could have a partial knee replacement or find a place where perhaps he could have stem cell treatment done. Since Ken was not ready to have parts of his anatomy amputated and I appreciated his honesty in suggesting My husband research the stem cell option. He received Regenexx prolotherapy, stem cell treatment, and PRP at the Toledo, Ohio clinic a year ago now. Ken’s pain level for about 25 years due to several meniscus tears had been no less than 7 and up to 10 at it’s worst. He’d just sucked it up. About 6 weeks after the procedure, he got out of bed one morning and realized he was in no pain whatsoever. He always awoke with pain at about a 3 or 4. That was a watershed moment. Since then, he still awakens with no pain unless he’s been overdoing it at work, in the military, or in the martial arts. Ken’s getting used to that new normal. On his worst days he might hit a 3, maybe 4 out of 10, but that, again, is with heavy use of his knee, pivoting and so forth. Ken has an appointment to receive a PRP booster next month, as his doctor, Dr. Rennels noted some laxity in his MCL, which makes sense, and because I read that Dr. Centeno and some of the other docs at Regenexx do this from time to time as well. I would beg anyone who is considering any orthopedic surgery, or anyone with arthritis, at least have an evaluation at a Regenexx clinic to see if you’re a good candidate. They will be frank with you. In the interest of full disclosure, it didn’t grow his missing meniscus back. Had he had the procedure rather than the earlier surgery, mandated by the military due to other quadriceps tears in the same knee, it might well have had that regenerated. However, the treatment stabilized his knee, strengthened his tendons and ligaments, vastly decreased his pain, allows him to accurately gauge how he’s using or overusing his knee, and has brought Ken back to something like normal after so many years of abusing his knee. It really is nothing short of remarkable and I would recommend it to anyone because of the improvement my husband has had. (He is dyslexia, so he asked me to submit this on his behalf, giving his answers)

Dr. Hazy is excellent. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Regenexx is the real deal. Don’t waste your time or money anywhere else.
