The application and closing process with ConsumerDirect was timely and they kept me informed. The closing was slightly delayed compared to the original estimate, but it was not onerous, and there were many other people trying to do the same refinancing we were doing, at the same time, to take advantage of the low rates. The company which now services out morrgage seems to be very competent, with a good website and customer service.

All the terms were clearly explained at the start of the process. I think because of Covid and the resulting leave of absence from work, the records of my finances being requested became quite tedious. The people handling the process were helpful and patient. I would go to them again, and highly recommend.

Matthew Brodtman was awesome. I would give him 5 out of 5 stars. I've used your company for financing three mortgages. I have to tell you the last time was the worst ever. After Matthew helped it went down hill. The loan documents had to be redone which reset the time period before I could close. I asked several times to review the documents that were going to be recorded at the county. Finally the day of recording, while they were recording, they sent me the pdf of the document (Real Estate Excise Affidavit). Of course, it had my name misspelled and it included my phone (which I repeatedly told everybody not to include my phone number on the document...because it is a recorded document) so they had to pull it from recording, correct it and redo it. After the loan funded nothing was paid off (i.e. prior mortgage, property taxes, etc). About a week later I called to find out why it's taking so long for my prior mortgage to be paid off. The monthly payment was due and I didn't want to get reported as being late. Also, property taxes were due and I didn't want to get charged penalty and interest. Then the escrow company blamed the County which was a lie. I know because I work at the County and I worked in title insurance business for about 14 years. I know how the system works. After that they finally paid off my old mortgage and property taxes. Wait there is more. Your company sold my loan. I made a payment on July 19th for August first payment. July 21st I received notification that you sold my loan. Well, you didn't provide that information to the new company.....I ended up making an extra payment for August because they sent me to collection department. They said I owed for August. I've been battling your company and the new company for four months now to get this corrected. So, I made an extra mortgage payment and your company didn't send all of my escrow balance to the new company. You won't provide proof that is was sent. I asked several time if you can contact the new company to get this resolved. Of course, you won't do it! I filed a complaint with the Federal Government. This is ridiculous! Shame on you!!!! You sold my loan, you should help me get this corrected and make sure the new company has the correct information. Both companies are telling me two different stories. All I know is that I ended up making an extra monthly payment and now my escrow is short money.

Mr.Gigi is awesome guy, he helped me twice in the mortgage needs. I highly recommend Gigi and First Bank !!
