I am a first time home buyer so this experience although rewarding, was very challenging. I want to acknowledge Real Genius and give a special shout out to Joel Bolton who not only promised he would be with me throughout the different phases of this purchase, but also found me the most competitive rate during this volatile mortgage rate environment. Being a first time home buyer, I wasn't sure what to expect and Joel was extremely responsive and so very helpful throughout this entire process. I will definitely work with Joel Bolton again when I pursue other potential home purchase opportunities.

John was wonderful. Not only did he work to give me a great rate, he also matched it after producing my initial loan offer. John was responsive, kind, and, knowledgable. He knows his business and made me feel secure about the process. He was transparent about all facets in order to best prepare me for the next steps after the loan application.

Mike Remillard was very responsive and helpful throughout the process. I'm a first time home buyer and he patiently answered all of my questions in detail and never seemed rushed. The underwriting department worked with me on a minor concern from the appraisal to ensure that closing went through on the originally scheduled date. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that I continued to receive requests for additional information for underwriting just a week before closing. Again I'm a first time home buyer so I'm not sure whether that's normal but that was stressful for me. They should request everything for closing up front and promptly review information submitted in order to let customers know if any clarification is needed.

Joel Bolton was our initial contact at Real Genius and remained in touch throughout the process. Both Joel and James Baxter, the loan processor, were very responsive to questions and concerns. They also were very helpful when we made some changes during the application phase. I would definitely recommend them to others seeking a mortgage loan.
