I was fully prepared to accept the updated Ritchie Bros. Terms of Sale — right up until point #7. That clause crosses a line. Ritchie Bros. now reserves the right to share my identity, my winning bids, and even my runner‑up bids with OEMs and dealers simply because I placed a bid on their platform. That is not required for auction operations, title transfer, tax compliance, or fraud prevention. It is a pure data‑monetization clause. I am a customer, not a lead to be packaged and sold. This goes far beyond normal auction terms, and it’s a deal breaker for me. I will no longer be shopping or purchasing anything from Ritchie Bros. until this clause is removed. If enough customers speak up, perhaps they will reconsider. Until then, I refuse to participate in a marketplace that treats bidder intent as a product.

The accuracy of the posted inspection report was correct. The condition of the truck I purchased was exactly what was advertised. The customer service and staff were very professional and helpful throughout the entire process.

Descriptions and pictures are accurate which is very important when spending money on things that you are relying on other people's eyes to see for you.

to pay is difficult the time that it takes the money to post and be able to get a release ticket takes long. It's not like before covid we would buy and pay on the spot and you were able to get your equipment pick up. Before you pay and you can pick up ,sometimes I buy equipment as I need it for a job and need right then, but nearly take 3 days before it post and get a release ticket and if you hit the weekend for get, it goes till the next week.

Once you are the high bidder the staff at the yard are very helpfull.

I have been attending Ritchie Bros. auctions for over 40 years and using the online exclusive feature since covid restriction but even before that the timed auctions were available online. Except for when the website gets overworked and crashes, the process is usually very smooth. The staff both inside and outside are very knowledgeable and customer service is very high

The website was easy to navigate. Processes and expected costs were throughly explained. Lots of opportunity to inspect items before bidding. If you are the successful bidder, picking up item(s) is easy to do. Employees in the Debert office and on the grounds were totally amazing.
