I bought this service first of all at the start of this it was to start with okay service wise and pretty good price overall but if you find problems they often provide very low quality help overall.
They shutdown two of my websites without telling me why I being forced to move hosting today for why I would not recommend them as long term server

Hi Blair, upon reviewing your account it appears you have your domains registered elsewhere (outside of RackNerd). While RackNerd does offer Domain Registration services, we do provide the option for customers to simply host their infrastructure/websites with us, while keeping their domains registered elsewhere. In this case, we see that is what you did as well (you had the domain registered elsewhere but the shared hosting service through RackNerd).
In reviewing your account's ticket history, we do see that your domain was expired, which was causing your website to not load as it normally would. Often times when domains are not renewed with the domain registrar, or there is some sort of similar billing issue, during the grace period domain registrars will route the domain's nameservers over to their own (which generally speaking, redirects the domain to a parking page). We do see that in the end, you were able to get your domain renewed and then your site resolved back to our server's nameservers and your website was loading fine again.
We'd like to again emphasize, that while this particular incident was outside of our control (as the customer had the domain registered with another domain registrar, and only utilized RackNerd for hosting) - we are always happy to help guide our customers wherever possible. We're not the type to "pass the ball" and at the end of the day we're here to help our customers - even if the issue itself is unrelated to us entirely. With that being said, we will have our Customer Success Manager reach out to you via e-mail to see if there's anything we can do to help from our side. We are always happy to help.
We sincerely appreciate your business and are confident we can clear this up with you soon.

Racknerd instantly suspends your cpanel account!
Racknerd instantly suspends your cpanel account after purchase!
Do not buy from RackNerd, 10 dollar for 1 year of cpanel is too good to be true, despite all the great reviews.
RackNerd does not respect customers privacy at all, as they block your account and ask for too much personal information:
"Thank you for your recent order with RackNerd. To authorize this payment and to verify your identity, please provide the following:
A clear and colored photo of your government-issued photo ID. (e.g., Driver's license/ Passport/ Identity card).
Please ensure the photo is not blurry and all information is clearly visible enough to read.
A clear photo of you or a "Selfie" while holding your ID beside you. Your face must not be blocked and should be clearly identifiable.
Ensure nothing is blocking your face or ID, and that all information is legible on the photo.
A photo of the front of the card used for this transaction. Please block out the card number EXCEPT for the last four digits. We'll need the name of the bank, your name, and card expiry date to be shown as well. If these details are on the back of your card, please block your security code (3-digit number at the back).
Ensure you ONLY block the card number (except for the last four digits) and security code. Other information on the card should be clear and legible.
A screenshot of your payment receipt. To get this, log in to your Online Banking Account on your browser or mobile app. Go to the transaction page and screenshot the whole page showing the payment details for this order.
Ensure you take a screenshot - do not take a photo of your monitor or phone with a camera.
Ensure the total amount and card on the receipt match the transaction.
The following details should be shown on your Payment Receipt:
Bank name (show the URL of the website if you are on your browser since the bank name is already there or do not block the logo of the bank)
Last four digits of the card - if applicable,
Transaction details - amount, transaction date, merchant name and status. "

Hello, we’re sorry to see that your experience with our sign-up process didn’t go smooth as desired. We are familiar with your account, and for that reason we are able to comment more in depth.
Normally, our risk team does not disclose specific reasoning, but in this case since some of the reasons are quite obvious, we'd like to point out that your account with RackNerd contains very evident discrepancies. Some examples of this - you signed up with characters such as “-“ for many of the required fields. Additionally the name used (both first and last) are random characters, on top of that the phone number you entered isn’t within the USA (though the state you’ve selected is within the USA). In short, your sign-up did reach our risk department, indicators beyond this were also discovered (which we will not disclose here in a public manner). That being said, our risk team did suspend your new order in hopes we could communicate/resolve this matter.
We understand that you chose to populate this information when signing up, and have yet to communicate back via our attempt to resolve this directly with you. As such, we’re respectfully unable to service you. A full refund has also been issued back to the original payment source. If you have any questions, feel free to communicate with us via the ticket/email.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND this host for one…
I DO NOT RECOMMEND this host for one major reason: They do not care about you or your website. When I found out that my shared host, who I've patronized for close to 5 years for now, was not going to work with our newest project, I had to find a VPS provider and fast. I searched through several providers and wound up signing up with Racknerd and another host (for a future project). The other host was taking a bit of time whereas RackNerd was instant, so I went ahead and worked with my developer to deploy our project to our new VPS. We signed up on Friday, Jul 30 at 0400 PST. We were able to deploy our project relatively smoothly, in time for me to work with another designer for the evening of Jul 31 as well as have an MVP for several prospects over the weekend.
None of these appointments or plans were able to be fulfilled, however, because this host went absolutely insane. On July 31, a Saturday evening, 36 hours after signing up, I was informed that my entire account was taken down. No warning, no heads up, just a host committing the most cardinal sin of having your website down. I was told through an e-mail that I needed to provide an INSANE amount of P.I.I. including full scans of my driver's license, as well as a selfie of my license, and banking information. Why on Earth would I give this information to such a small and private company? Come to find out, they don't even have a cybersecurity expert let alone a cybersecurity division! If these big tech companies can barely stand a chance, why on Earth would I give my information to this company? The absurd part is this is over $15. $15! Fifteen dollars. And all it takes is one misconfiguration for someone from Belarus or Russia to pwn RackNerd's database and sell my ID for $2 on the dark web for the latest cryptocurrency! No way would I give that amount of info and nor would I recommend you to give that amount of info! It's way too much!
So not only are their requirements unrealistic, why weren't these put up front and center and WHY was I not called? There is only one answer: They do not care about you or your business or your website. Period. I didn't even see this message until I was already meeting with my designer, 6 hours after they sent it. On a weekend. This cost me so much time and money, I was absolutely reeling and angry. I'm still very upset. You could not pay me to ever use this company. To think that they would just up and destroy a project with 0 warning. If this was such a huge deal, you call the client. You don't destroy all that work and you don't induce downtime!!! What type of host does that? Only the worst. Put these insane info requirements up front. Provide a 24 hour grace period or something, how hard would it have been to say "If you do not provide this information, we will remove this account in 24 hours." Total joke of a company. Do not use them as a host, find a different provider. Their worldly outlook on hosting and the internet is fundamentally flawed, and even if they fix this there will always be other scenarios in which they will never be trusted to make the correct decision. Best of luck to those reading this, and if you're an employee at this company, search for another.

UPDATE:
Thanks for responding to my review. After seeing that you were unable to find me in your database, I'd have to point out that my name on this review is L. David Angulo, meaning that if you searched the two names you would not find me in your database. The reason for this is because "L." is an initial for my first name, which is exactly the name that I signed up with as well as the name on my CC.
I have to admit I was pretty upset initially, but with all due respect, I can easily see now that this error is due to nothing but plain old incompetence. In fact, I can not think of a better response as I now can tell my colleagues who saw me with a pie on my face Saturday night that it was, in fact, an error on the part of the web host. So to those who are reading, you can see proof of the error on display. Ask yourself, do I want to be sending my information to a person operating on this level? I certainly would not. Anyway, I'm no longer upset because my main problem, that of embarrassment, is now solved, and even though I lost a decent amount of $ and time we have a story we can laugh about now.
P.S. It's not due to a name I'm sure it's because I am here in San Francisco and not at my residence in Southern California, so the IP addresses looked suspicious. At least that's what I'd speculate ;)

Hello,
We’re very sorry to hear that your experience with RackNerd wasn’t as you expected it to be. We believe that transactions should be smooth, and easy. At the end of the day we enjoying catering to happy customers, and ones that we can work with for years to come. You can see that our reviews reflect positive experiences, this is earned by providing excellent and stable service that individuals and businesses deserve.
It’s incredibly disappointing to our team to see a review indicating we’ve let down a customer, a review that is totally opposite of what we’re accustomed to.
Reading through your review, it's evident that you’re familiar with the bad guys out there who utilize forms of payment and or identification for malicious activities. It’s a good thing you have this awareness as we too have experienced fraudulent payment and situations as such we are very selective of whom we onboard. We have a risk team that does a great job when reviewing accounts. Our team audits orders, and if a discrepancy is found we must take action. These discrepancies are either found by the RackNerd team, reported to us by the actual cardholder, law enforcement agencies and or through payment processors. Should we find elevated risk, we often reach out by phone, and through ticket.
It is totally understandable that with this awareness, you also have grown hesitant to provide information. With that said, it does make it harder for the RackNerd team to complete our review.
It should be said that the information we seek is identification, and in some cases payment information for verification purposes. For example, a scanned copy of the credit card used (while blocking certain digits). We do this to ensure that end users have the physical card present and protecting their full cards digits at the same time. We do this to protect you, as well as reduce our risk of fraudulent payments/accounts.
Lastly, I did try to find your account here with RackNerd and your name is not found within our database which could also be a factor why the risk team flagged your order, I can only speculate that the payment source is different from the account holder, and/or similar discrepancy.
If there’s an opportunity to review this particular case, and find out where exactly our team may have made mistakes, we’d like to do so. Please feel free to email [email protected] and we would be more than happy to assist you.
