I love my kitties
I love my kitties. They are very sweet and have adapted very well to their new home. I was not happy that after a vet visit, I was told they both have parasites which aren’t unusual because they come from catterys. I wish I’d known that. I’ve already paid the vet for the tests and medication over $200. I was also told the disease cannot be cured, but the medicine helps with keeping it under control, hopefully. I’ve sent my findings to you when I first found out, but got no response when I said I felt the breeder should be informed. Perhaps they know and don’t care. Now one of them has been sneezing today so I’ll need to do another visit. Julie Winkler
Response from Purebred KittiesMay 8, 2026
Hi Julie, thank you for your feedback and we’re very happy to hear your kitties are sweet and adapting well to their new home. Parasites and mild upper respiratory symptoms can unfortunately be quite common in kittens, especially during transitions and after air travel, as the stress from transport and adjusting to a new environment can temporarily weaken their immune system. This is something veterinarians commonly see with young kittens, even when they appeared healthy prior to travel. We’re sorry to hear about the extra vet expenses and hope the medication helps keep everything under control. Sneezing can also happen from stress, climate changes, or travel adjustment, but it’s always best to continue monitoring with your vet to ensure they recover smoothly. Thank you again for giving them a loving home and for keeping us updated on their progress.
