Hi, I know that these are difficult times for everyone, and everyone seems to be touched by the virus in some way. We had quite a time getting our puppy delivered at all, and no one seemed to want to make it happen, UNTIL I found Erin. She picked up the ball and ran with it, and finally got us our puppy. transportation was the big problem, but she made it happen. This was the fourth puppy we have gotten from puppyspot, so we had always gotten excellent service before. Also this puppy arrived with parasites. My vet caught it and we have been treating for it. Then when we thought it had been handled we tested for it, and again this showed up so we're treating for the second time. I have two other dogs, so all three had to be treated. My puppy has been sick since I received him. We are still working with the vet and running tests to try and figure out what the issues is. He has and upper respiratory issues and runny poop since day one. He has been on meds and had many tests we are still waiting for results. Hope he is better soon. We have paid over $700.00 in vet bills after paying 3k for a pup. Super sad for him and us.

From the first moment I reserved my puppy until the morning after call the service and friendliness of EVERYONE involved was amazing!!! I have the most beautiful, healthy and loving puppy in the world. I highly recommend them and their transport team. Even my Vet recommends them!!!

The 4 star rating is for PuppySpot only. The breeder rating is 0. PuppySpot communicated well with us until we bought our puppy. After that point, we were advised to use the app. The app needs a lot of work in order to provide a better buying experience for the new owner. We ended up sending emails instead. The PuppySpot managers responded well to these emails. Our main issue with our puppy was the delivery of the dog to us. Our dog arrived extremely hypoglycemic. We had him for 5 hours and had to rush him to the emergency pet hospital for care. We were glad that we did take him in, because he might have died that night if we had not. He was in the hospital for 4 days. PuppySpot covered our medical bills promptly, which we were grateful for. The other problem with our dog was that he had giardia. We found this out when we took our puppy to his normal vet a couple of weeks later. Based on how sick he was when we took him to emergency and how long it took for his blood sugar to recover (even with mass doses of glucose), it was obvious that he had more than just hypoglycemia going on. The giardia combined with the hypoglycemia resulted in a critically sick dog. The breeder never should have sent him to us in this condition. We also question the "vet" that he was taken to two days before we received him. His health was "perfect" according to this doctor. Two days later he was at death's door. When we got him, he weighed under 2 pounds. He should have stayed with the breeder until he reached 2.5 pounds. We subsequently found out that he was being fed Fruit Loops, which has absolutely zero nutritional value. He was not eating much, probably due to the giardia, and he was being given nutrical. The breeder should have checked with a vet to find a puppy food that would have worked for him. We spent almost $3000 on our dog and we expected much better. Caveat emptor.

I liked PuppySpot. They were very thorough with questions about home design, fenced yards, and our history with other pets; plus a long list of other pertinent questions. However, with actual the puppy delivery, things got complex. PuppySpot said the dog had to be 2 lbs. and 8 weeks old, with a vet check, to travel. PuppySpot didn't want us to contact the breeder, but the breeders name was easy to ascertain. When we contacted the breeder she said she wanted our dog to be 9 weeks old, and would like to meet us in person. We communicated the 9 weeks requirement to PuppySpot and they understood but travel plans with American Airlines seem to be slow and apparently somewhat difficult to arrange. SOOO. We decided to get the puppy ourselves. We burned a few Alaska Airlines frequent-flyer miles and flew to Chicago, then drove to the breeders home in Shipshewana Indiana. We talked with them for about an hour, they gave us a very informative booklet about Wiggy, and gave us a very nice travel dog carrier. We drove slowly back to Chicago to give Wiggy lots of stops to pee and poo. Wiggy charmed everyone at the Alaska Airlines Gate in O'Hare, and then we flew home. He is a great little dog, we love him a lot. We thank PuppySpot for their efforts to get us this puppy. Even though the actually physical connection with the dog was our choice and was due to the seeming slowness of puppy transport arrangements, I still gave you 5 stars because overall you were good where it counted about insuring we would be a good home for Wiggy, and it isn't your fault that we changed our minds (read: got impatient) about how to actually get the puppy home from Indiana.
