Overall, the folks at PuppySpot were terrific to work with and made identifying and receiving my puppy a great experience. My only disappointment was having my questions answered by the breeder.

My puppy who I love and adore came to us with a double ear infection and kennel cough. Although, he is fine now, after treatment, it was very discouraging to receive such a lovely creature who was so so sick. PuppySpot has taken more than 4 weeks to respond to our claims requesting reimbursement for the costs associated with treating the puppy and bringing him back to a healthy state. As much as we love your new family member, we would likely not recommend anyone use PuppySpot's service if they are looking for a healthy puppy and a worry-free process.

Awesome experience with Puppyspot! Our contact, Tiffany, was very helpful and responsive to all our questions. Puppy arrived clean, happy and on time. After some apprehension about using an online service to buy a dog, my fears were put to rest throughout the entire process and certainly when our puppy arrived! Would highly recommend based on my great experience!

PuppySpot helped us find the exact puppy we wanted. They were helpful in setting up his travel arrangements, putting us in touch with the breeder and answering many questions. We have had our puppy for a month now and could not be happier with our dog. He arrived at our home happy and healthy. He’s friendly, healthy and absolutely adorable.

Don't be fooled into thinking PuppySpot breeders are well screened. Our breeder had no idea how to take care of a Great Dane puppy. We decided to pick up our puppy at 8 weeks old in person to make sure the puppy was bonded to us. We drove 3 days & almost 2K miles so we could meet the breeder before completing our purchase. The day before we are supposed to meet, we are told the vet found pressure sores on the puppy. We were asked if we still wanted to move ahead. We have already driven to the city where we are meeting. We have been told very little prior to that. He was one of 9 puppies in the litter, his "breeder" had no experience with the breed. The puppy had been laying on rubber mats rather than something to protect his skin & coat. I was told directly from the owner that they fed all the puppies 1 time per day. They quickly changed what they had said to feeding the puppies 2 times a day. Great Danes are supposed to be fed 3 times a day. He was 17.5 pounds (15-25 pounds is normal for an eight week old Dane). We were told he was potty trained. "When we let them outside, the all line up to go." They were only let out after they were fed. The puppy was supposed to be partially socialized. The owner's daughter came over to the puppy while I was holding him to pull on his ears. Her mom quickly told her to stop & that it was cruel to do to him. The "breeder" continued to say things like the puppy had not been handled much. I did get to see the puppy’s mother. She had a major scar on her side. I was told she worked on the farm & that's where the scar came from. The owners also mentioned his mother was a small, under the radar breeder. Just small enough to avoid any negative attention. The owners are breeding to get money to get out of debt. PuppySpot says they check these people out. Any checks on this "breeder," must have been done by a blind inspector who looked the other way instead of rejecting them as "breeders." At this point I am pretty concerned. I am starting to feel like I am rescuing the puppy from someone who had no business breeding dogs at all. I didn't feel like I could, in good conscience, say no to taking the puppy. I knew that he would have a better home with us than he was born into. PuppySpot went from extremely responsive when we were looking at buying a puppy to very difficult to reach almost as soon as we paid for him. The longer we have had him (about 1 month now), the more regret we have had. We feel like we have supported a puppy mill. We have spoken with local, high quality breeders, professional dog trainers, & our veterinarian. There is no way that PuppySpot or the owners of the puppy mill care about the dogs or the breed. It is just a business to them. Do you think this an isolated case? Check out PuppySpot on the Better Business Bureau & you will see, this is the way PuppySpot runs it's business. Look for a good breeder that you can meet, develop a relationship with, & see how the puppies are raised. Don't be fooled!

I love my puppy. But he came w giardia-an intestinal parasite- and 6 weeks later and one ER visit for dehydration we are still dealing with it.

Cricket has been an absolute joy since she's come home. She is very energetic, loves to play and can be feisty at times. She has an awesome temperament and enjoys playing with her companion on a daily basis. She is a small pup but has a great appetite. Cricket has been treated for worms on multiple occasions before her arrival to her official home. Naturally, when Cricket displayed loose stools she was taken to the vet where she was diagnosed with worms. The vet felt like she should not be treated this time due to multiple attempts of the de-worming process. Cricket does not let this slow her down. She has mastered climbing up and down our porch and inside steps and she's as quick as flash when she runs top speed. Cricket has been a great addition to our family! We look forward to spending many years with her.

PuppySpot is a company that claims to work with reputable breeders, but it lies. No competent breeder would take a puppy away from its litter at just 8 weeks. I'm now dealing with all kinds of behavioral problems because of this. You charge a ridiculous amount of money, and provide sub-par service. I will actively discourage anyone I know to be looking for a dog from using your service. UPDATE: I had the puppy evaluated by my uncle, who is a professional dog breeder and trainer with 30+ years of experience. He was APPALLED that PuppySpot ripped the puppy away from its mom and litter before 12 weeks of age. And after spending some time with the dog, he advised that ym puppy would continue to have significant anxiety and behavioral disturbances for his life, unless he could live with another animal for companionship. I am not allowed to have more than one animal in my apartment, so I had no choice to rehome my puppy. He lives with my sister now, and is doing much better. But I am out $4500+, and am emotionally devastated. Puppy spot reached out following my initial review; I spoke with James, who, when I explained what was going on, agreed that, although PuppySpot generally will not transfer a health guarantee to a new owner, they would do so, provided they were allowed to screen my sister first. After I provided my sister's contact information, I was contacted by Katrina, who, confusingly, is in their HR department. She informed me that they would not transfer the Health Guarantee. They also are refusing to provide any, even partial, refund for the loss of my puppy, the emotional havoc, or the run-around. Upshot: I was swindled, emotionally devastated, and lied to by PuppySpot. And they don't care, because they have my money. Unless this is addressed, I will be calling my credit card company to rescind the payment, reporting the company to the Better Business Bureau, and referring their false and misleading statements to my friend, the State Attorney General for investigation. Please, do not let yourself go through what I went through. I saved for a long time to afford a puppy, and that is now gone. I have been so depressed for weeks over having to send my puppy to my sister's house that all aspects of my life are suffering--and my ability to do my job is in jeopardy. And PuppySpot's response? Lie to me and mislead me. I would hate to see anyone else go through what I went through. Please, please, please, do not give your money to this scam of a company.
