Overall it was good. The only thing is when i ask for the authenticity of both parents proving pure bread, i only got the mother side.. the breeder said the father does not belong to him… but isn’t it that before you breed, you should know the history of the father side? Not only by looking at the dog but with papers???

Pretty horrible experience
Pretty horrible experience. I purchased a goldendoodle puppy from them. I paid close to $4,000. About a week after purchase and 2 weeks before he arrived, I received a call stating the puppy was no longer available and wasn’t given any reason behind it. Obviously heartbreaking. I had already taken work off for his arrival day, purchased supplies, set up vet appointments, signed him up for puppy school etc. and could not get my money back on some of those things. They said they could offer me a discount if I found another puppy that I was interested in. They only offered a $200 discount (which was a promotional discount I already received on the first puppy) and would owe them an additional $900. I requested a refund. I didn’t receive a confirmation email for the refund for 6 days and got no response from my “puppy manager” when I inquired. The whole experience was extremely unprofessional.
Luckily I found the perfect puppy at a local breeder, and at half the price I paid to puppyspot. I was able to meet him and the breeder directly, meet his parents, see his living conditions, etc. and take him home the same day. Please take this route and don’t work with this company out of convenience like I did. I absolutely do not recommend working with puppyspot.

We sorry that your experience with PuppySpot was not at all what you - or we - would like it to have been. We wish you and your new puppy the best of futures together.

The service was wonderful
The service was wonderful. There were some things I didn't need, like the crate. She is very happy with her toys. She is going on the piddle pad most of the time or outside. She's wonderful and learning new tricks.

Let me start by saying we got an…
Let me start by saying we got an amazing, joyful, loving, fun, so darn cute Shorkie puppy! So a huge thank you to the breeder! I would have liked more communication between the time I paid the exorbitant fee and her arrival at my home. I was told she would be flown here but she traveled by van. The thought of her in a crate for over 12 hours sickens me. When I called about it I basically only got ‘standard’ answers (lip service) but no explanation. Also four days after her arrival I received an email with a link to a video with recommendations. Most were for the first two-three days after receiving her. What sense does that make? My puppy is thriving. I can’t regret using PuppySpot because we got such a wonderful puppy but I’m not sure I’d recommend them.

We're sorry that the travel arrangements for your puppy were not more clearly communicated. Our travel partners are all USDA certified and our follow processes validated by independent Scientific Advisory Board (who you can more about here: https://www.puppyspot.com/puppyspot-standards). That said, we would very much have liked you to have felt more prepared about the nature your puppy's travel than you were and for that, we apologize. We're also very glad that your puppy is so wonderful! We wish you nothing but the best!

We regret that you feel your puppy has arrived with worms. As discussed at the time of your puppy's arrival, we remain available to help with whatever resolutions your vet is recommending. We await the receipt of your puppy's vet records and our commitment to helping remains. We hope to hear from you soon so we can assist.

Puppy and chaperone were great, everything else kind of sucked
Could have been a lot better, could also have been worse. After planning for a specific puppy to make it to our home, we had everything prepped. New crate, toys and food ready for it. Weeks go by, we are getting down to the wire. Only a few days to go, and I get a cryptic phone call about our puppy’s last vet check. I talk to both a man and woman, whom I can hardly understand, stating our puppy has a genetic issue and can’t come home with us. Well, I was shocked. And angry. To make things worse, all of the other puppies we felt would have made a suitable replacement were now sold or reserved, so we had to make a decision on a total of 5 puppies. All were more expensive, and the one that seems the healthiest cost us an additional 1200 dollars and we had to travel across the state to go get her to the worst part of Oregon. Our previous puppy was to be delivered to our door, so this was insult to injury. After many attempts to contact Puppyspot for information while waiting for our replacement puppy, we received little information. The day came, and we drove to Portland to await our puppies arrival. Everything that can go wrong did… the initial flight out of Florida was delayed for her, but luckily her puppy chaperone, Carla, was very good at her job, and got her on another flight. At 11 o’clock that night, after a very long day for everyone, our puppy was delivered to us at PDX and we then took the three hour plus drive home. We have a massive regional airport 15 minutes from our home that connects to most other international airports, so this seemed ridiculous for everyone involved. Like I said, it could have been a lot better but it could have been even worse. Just not the best experience we have come to expect from Puppyspot.

Beware of PuppySpot
The best advice I could give someone who was considering using PuppySpot to add a new fur baby to their family, would be: demand to know who the breeder is, and check them out yourselves.
After much conversation back-and-forth with Lisa at PuppySpot, I was assured (because the window for socializing had long ago shut) that the 5-1/2 month old Schnoodle we were considering had been completely socialized, lived in a house with the breeder and their three young children, and that PuppySpot as a business, especially loved this breeder.
Our puppy arrived with extremely long toenails, smelling like a garbage truck (no exaggeration), had the infection Giardia, was at the very lowest weight of the acceptable weight for her age and when I asked the vet why she kept her legs stiff and straight when we picked her up, we were told this was an indication that this puppy, at 5-1/2 moths of age, had never been held by humans.
When we brought our new puppy to our groomer of 10 years, the comment was made directly to me, that “if it wasn’t you bringing her in, I would say she came from a puppy mill!“ When I asked why she had made that comment, she explained that the puppy would have to be shaved because her undercoat was so extremely matted to her skin that it had caused some skin breakdown and there was no other way without causing the puppy a lot of pain, than to shave it. She said “this is a major sign of a puppy mill. A responsible breeder would never allow her fur to get like this or her nails to grow so long!”
When I called PuppySpot to tell them they sold me a sick puppy, the “Puppy Manager” responded by telling me “it was my puppy and it was my responsibility to make sure the puppy got treated by a Vet.” We got no satisfaction, no make good, no follow-up.
We paid a lot of money to PuppySpot to “RESCUE” this dog and have her flown from Indiana to New Jersey, an hour from our home. When she arrived, she was lethargic and hours later came out of her “haze”. We have no idea what she was given on the flight, or if she traveled with a “Chaperone” as we had been told. We arrived at the airport where a gentleman met us outside in the parking lot in 20 degree weather!!). The poor pup was shaking it was so cold. That should have been the clue that this would turn out to be one shady operation.
We love our pup to pieces, even though she is extremely skittish around people, due to the lack of socialization. We will get her to fully happy and healthy adulthood with much more work than it should have been, and who knows what other health problems she’ll show as she grows.
We would NEVER get another dog from PuppySpot, and would NEVER recommend them to anyone. Don’t walk, RUN from PuppySpot!!!
And after their response to this review, where PuppySpot avoids addressing any of the issues in this review, ( plus, we have never had a conversation about how they can help with our pups medical issues) we stand firm in our ZERO STAR review.

We're sorry that Elaine feels as she does about her experience with PuppySpot. We have explained how our breeders are held to very high standards of care and we are proud of the programs we operate together with them. Older puppies such as hers can take longer to adjust to new surroundings as they have new schedules and living conditions to adjust to. We hope that Elaine and her puppy are working out these together and we have resources available to help her and her puppy become acquainted. Similarly, we have spoken with Elaine about how we can help with her medical concerns. Once we have those records from her, we will most assuredly provide assistance under our 10yr Health Commitment all of our puppies go home with. We hope that Elaine and her puppy are doing better together and remain available to provide assistance as needed.
