I thought the communication with Puppy Spot was great. I was concerned that we couldn't meet the dog before purchasing her. And I'm concerned about what type of breeder we purchased from, since her pickup was with a third party and not on-site. Our dog is great, and again, the communication was friendly and prompt.

You represented that all the breeders selling puppies on your website had been vetted and rated. I don't see how that is possible based on the puppy that I bought. She came underweight (skin and bones), she had been treated for hookworms prior to being delivered (which means all the other dogs in that kennel have hookworms), she has an intestinal parasite, she was not crate trained as advertised, she was not socialized to any degree, and is afraid of men, We were told she was fed 4Health chicken and rice (she won't touch that food) and we bought a bag to be ready for her, we were told they would send some of her food with her - they didn't). She had an ear infection in both ears and the blood test showed she was anemic. The medical records that came with her did not show any blood test being done, nor were there any results in the report. When all was said and done, it cost me $1,598.70 in vet bills to get her on the road back to health. I would have sent her back, but I didn't have the heart to send her back to the place where she came from and have her neglected. The delivery service was fine.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand how concerning it can be when a new puppy requires unexpected veterinary care and adjustments after arriving home. We appreciate the opportunity we had to connect with you directly and discuss your concerns. Your commitment to your puppy’s well-being is evident, and we are glad she has a caring family supporting her. Please know that we remain available if you need any further assistance or have additional questions in the future.

The discovery of this "opportunity" to find a healthy puppy was a rare gift. Without the benefit of having easy, physical access to a breeder, Puppyspot provided more than necessary support while emphasizing the companion interests between breeder and prospective owner. This site is safe, secure, and introduces new owners to a stress-free experience of raising a new puppy. For me (70+), having had dogs all of my life, it presented a beneficial, cost effective, caring approach to filling a hole in my heart.
