Very Frustrating Experience
*Review Update* Heather with PuppySpot contacted me and made things right with me. My initial experience was not the best, but I love my puppy and would purchase as well as recommend PuppySpot to friends and family. My recommendation is still not to have your puppy shipped if the airline's only option is cargo, it is very devastating for the puppy. When I first called I was greeted very kindly and all my questions were answered. I wanted to think about it a couple days and would call back. I did call back a couple days later and was told I had to speak with the original person I spoke with. He was not available and was told he would call me back within 30 mins. After 3 hrs I called back and he was really available. I opted to have my puppy brought to me, then was offered to have the puppy flown and told to check with the airline where to pick up. First I received a few text messages confirming and was told I would be sent flight information. I asked specifically if the puppy would be in Cargo because I didn't want it devastated and would wait. I was assured that it wouldn't. No one followed up I just happened to be in my account and found the flight details. I called to ask where customers go to retrieve and was told Cargo and to call the airline after I was assured it wouldn't be Cargo. I called the airline and was told to go to the airport and ask an agent so I parked my car and caught a shuttle to the airport. I was taken to an area where I was told they bring the puppies to the new owners. After sitting there over an hour, I asked personnel again and was sent to the Baggage Claim Office. I was told the puppy was at Cargo which is located away from the airport. The guy was going to draw a map to tell me how to get there, frustrated I asked him to please just give me the address. At that point I was totally frustrated, caught the shuttle back to my car and received a call from Cargo that my puppy was waiting. I finally make it to my car because the shuttles were delayed due to construction at the airport and traffic. After paying $23 for parking I make it to Cargo and after signing some paperwork, I was told it would be a wait because they had to wait until the puppy got there. One of the workers overheard and said it was there. When I got the puppy he was devastated, shaking and had thrown up a lot. This was totally a nightmare, what should have taken less than an hour from almost 4 hrs before the puppy was actually in my possession. As much as it costs, I feel I should have been contacted immediately with flight information and all the work I did to get the pickup information which was wrong should have already been done for the amount of money paid. My first stop was to stop at a Pet Store to get him bathed and they trimmed him up some because he looked really unkept. I text the Breeder to let him know I had the puppy, no response. I sent him another response to ask about the spray they used because I liked the scent but I don't expect a response. Also I sent an e-mail to Puppy Spot to see if they happened to still have the photos of the parents that I could retrieve because it was no longer in the system. I still haven't received a response to that. The only reason I gave a 2 Star Rating is because all in all the puppy has been a joy.
