My pup got really sick and I had to take him to 2 different Emergency Care Vets over the Easter holiday. This is the first time he’s gotten sick and I thought I might loose him. Thank You Pumpkin for processing my claims so quickly. They were so very helpful on the phone. You never know how good your pet insurance is, until you need them. Pumpkin Insurance is the Best!!!

This has been one of the most frustrating insurance experiences I’ve ever had. What should be a straightforward claim has turned into an endless cycle of document requests with no clear explanation of why each additional record is needed. It feels like the process is designed to delay decisions rather than actually evaluate claims fairly. Every time something is submitted, another request follows. There’s no transparency, no clear timeline, and no sense that the customer is being supported. When you’re dealing with your pet’s health, the last thing you need is added stress from an insurance company that makes the process this difficult. Very disappointing experience overall.

Hi Nicholas, our claims team is working hard to complete insurance claims as quickly as possible. It is our goal to review your claim within 5 business days of receipt. Some claims can be processed immediately on review, but for claims for pets new to Pumpkin or for new issues, the processing time can be a bit longer as we collect medical records and review supporting documents available, like your pet's full medical history.
