There's not a single person one can call when problems arise. No telephone number to speak with someone IN THE MOMENT that the glitch occurs. Wanted to join but when I verified my visa card anew, they said my email was already in service. Of course it was, it was mine! They said I'd have to create another one, which I don't have, neither do I desire to do. No one around to help no one to call, no one to resolve such a small problem. Results? Still trying to pay and join. You tell me?

Automatic $240 charges for no service
They did not apply the credits (called Snaps) I earned for reviewing other Amazon products to my account (even after I submitted proof that my reviews went live). So, in essence, the Pubby service is of no value since you need to earn Snaps in order to use the platform. ...Then they automatically charged a $240 yearly subscription that I am quite certain I didn't authorize. Crickets from customer support. Triple thumbs down.

Just noticed a review for my book with the title "Nice pair of slacks"??? It's a book! Why doesn't pubby do their job and monitor the reviews? Why is there 0 customer service support?? I've seen some pretty big YouTubers always tout pubby, but I can't for the life of me figure out why! Stay clear of this website. Do NOT waste your time!!!

People will write negative reviews…
People will write negative reviews about your book, off topic and Pubby doesn't do anything about it. They don't stand up for their authors at all.

Pubby is more of a pain than it's worth, and expensive!
Pubby used to be a great way to get reviews, but they've gone way downhill in a short time, especially when it comes to Verified Reviews. Verified Reviews are reviews where the reader must purchase the book, read it, and then review it; so as the reader, you are putting money out to review the book...this process SHOULD be legitimate. BUT, the reader is at the mercy of Amazon to actually post that the review is a "Verified Review"...half the time they don't post that, and Pubby penalizes you for it by taking away the snaps they originally awarded you (snaps are used to up your book to the reading library so others can read and review for you.) It's not the reader's fault if Amazon doesn't post that "verified review" stamp....and Pubby won't accept your receipt of purchase as evidence that you did in fact purchase the book. So, don't be surprised if you go into your account and find your snaps in the negative by thousands, and they aren't helpful at all in resolving these issues. They ask for "Detailed Receipts" Amazon's digital receipts aren't always "Detailed" sometimes, if you purchase more than one digital book at a time, they lump them together on one receipt, they don't break it down...it just shows the total paid...but Pubby won't accept that...seriously?!
The next complaint I have is that it is OBVIOUS that many times readers aren't reading the books, this completely removes the legitimacy of Pubby's reviews. I have seen many instances where reviewers simply copy/paste information from the book's page on Pubby and paste it into a review showing that they obviously did not READ the book.

Double Charged and they dont care
Been using it for months, and then out of nowhere I get double charged, one for my regular charge and one for $240.
Pubby's response "I don't see an issue on my end, not our problem"
Now I have to spend time calling my credit card company to to do a chargeback.

Pubby used to be a decent way to get reviews, but there were always some people who just took advantage and wrote whatever without even looking at the books. Now you can’t trust it at all. They’ve automated everything to death and never admit when they make a mistake. In their eyes, the client is always wrong. If your review fails to get stamped as a verified purchase by Amazon despite the fact that you bought, read, and reviewed the book, you get blocked from verified purchases even if you show proof of purchase. If you write a review the author didn’t like, they block your account and force you to remove it or not be able to use the site anymore even if you read the book and reviewed it accurately. It isn’t a trust worthy site. Don’t waste your money.

Pubby has trolls
Man oh man. Pubby has some authors that also try to get your information so they can message you on Facebook to purchase their editing service. I declined one, that's when I was hit with a bad review. I was supposed to have verified purchase review and the reviewer giving me the poor review didn't even buy by book. Based on the AI generated review they clearly did not even read the book but yet I will have a bad one star review now all because someone that wanted to sell me something found me through pubby and after I rejected them they gave me a bad review. I know there is nothing I can do about it so I am just shutting down my pubby account. It did more harm than good.
