Great idea, bad execution
Ordered a men’s hormone test to set a baseline on a a workout initiative. Ordering online and getting blood draw at a local lab was easy. Results were not fast in coming back. One test was not done because the lab did not get an adequate sample size (which Priv MD said they’d comp me on on a future order). A second test was on national delay according to Quest so I am still waiting for a result 10 business days post-blood draw with no delivery date known. I went to my primary care doctor and had him order me the missing test that Private MD could not fulfill and got the result the same day (and covered by insurance). It is a cool concept, but poor execution will have me going elsewhere in the future.

Hi Barry, Thank you for the detailed feedback this is helpful, and we understand the frustration. Ordering and the lab visit should feel easy, and it’s good to hear that part worked well. Where we fell short here was on the follow-through. An insufficient sample and a national delay on another test is a tough combination, but you should have had clearer communication and a better sense of timing throughout. When labs process tests directly through traditional channels, results can sometimes be bundled and released all at once. Through our platform, results are delivered as they come in, but we still depend on the specific lab your samples went to for processing times. In cases like national delays or sample issues, we step in to coordinate redraws, credits, or next steps, and we should have been more proactive in doing that here. We also understand your point about going through your primary care physician and insurance. That can be a good path in certain situations, but for the most part customers prefer coming to us because we are a lot more convenient than that traditional path as you might be able to glean from some of the other reviews. Our goal is to provide a flexible, direct-access option with convenience, transparency, and ultra fast support when things don’t go as planned. If you’re open to it, we’d like to review your order and make sure the remaining items are resolved properly, as well as follow through on the credit we mentioned.
