I ordered two purses. The red arrived looking very different from what appeared on their ads-more of a dark pink than red. The leather was very mottled-did not like the look and there wasn’t a separate compartment inside. When I attempted to return they advised that because I was located in Canada, it was classified as an international order and therefore not returnable. So WATCH OUT if you’re ordering outside the US. I learned my lesson and have never experienced this with any other US company. Expected better.

I returned this purse after two weeks of use because the brad on the shoulder strap came off rendering it broken and unusable. They promptly replaced this bag but with an inferior one. When I questioned them and complained about the poor structural quality of it, their snarky response was “looks like you got a very slouchy one“ and if I didn’t like it to return it. I went to return it and found out the cost of returning the bag was close to 20% of the total cost of the bag. This is such a punitive return policy for a poor quality product that I will never buy from them again.

Lovely products! I wish I knew where the leather is coming from. I’d prefer vegan, but I’d buy from these guys again. Also very friendly :)

I bought a bag from them years ago which has held up beautifully and the leather is superior; however recently I put an item in my cart and left it there for some time thinking about purchasing it. The texts regarding the purchase was relentless; talk about a hard sell!!!. That was what made me take it out of my cart and stop any future communications from them.

Portland leather sold us a defective purse. I know these things happen so my daughter requested the ability to return it. They said they would return it but they would charge her $15 for the shipping. I think this is unacceptable to produce a defective product and require the customer to pay to ship it back. When I was purchasing the product and asking them questions about it they were very helpful and responsive. We are receiving unacceptable customer service trying to return this defective product. Updated after Portland Leathers response: there was no defect in the leather variation. The leather was visibly beautiful. I sent a picture of the purse to show the customer service representative that it did not hold its shape when she put her items in it. I would think that that is considered a true defect. The style was the Lucy purse, which is a structured purse and it drooped significantly. Yet they still wanted to charge her return shipping. She found a Portland leather store near her so she was able to take it back there and exchange it for a new one, same style.The new purse she now has is good.

I contiplated for over a month on buying the small pebble camera crossbody bag. I finally bought it and I can’t express how disappointed I am with it. The after it was delivered I contacted customer service only to find out that they don’t give you a full refund, they also charge you to ship the product back. If this was a situation where I simply just changed my mind, I might understand. However, the purse is defective which is not under my control but I would think they would take full responsibility and refund the full amount and pay the return shipping. Disappointed and will never recommend or purchase anything again.

Beware if you are returning an item you will be charged a hefty fee for shipping and whatever else they deduct.

Worst customer service anywhere. Can't cancel online orders. When returning items ($80) purse they refunded $33.00. When ordering they give a delivery date, then it comes 3 days late. Contacting customer service is a joke. They eventually stop replying.
