Horrible customer service …
I purchased a mystery box on February 15th for my wife’s birthday on the 23rd. Portland leather put the wrong dimensions and weight on the shipping label causing the package to get stuck in Colorado. I contacted them after I spoke with the post office and was informed they miss shipped the package by putting the wrong size and weight causing it to get delayed and possibly lost. Once I contacted Portland Leather I was contacted back by a guy named Anthony who shifted the blame on me and then tried to blame the post office for their mistake. This is the WORST customer service experience I’ve ever experienced. He was very condescending and rude. I had nothing to do with the size of package or the weight as that is their job. I will never do business with them again! (They put 7” x 5” x 1.75” on the shipping label the actual dimensions of the box is 16” x 16” 10.55” this was told to me by the post office)
Response from Portland Leather GoodsFeb 26, 2026
We’re sorry to hear how frustrating this felt, especially with a birthday involved. We understand how important timing is for a gift. After reviewing the shipment and tracking, there were no carrier updates indicating the package was undeliverable. As soon as you contacted us, our team responded, refunded your shipping cost for the inconvenience, and continued monitoring the delivery. We can see that the package was successfully delivered. We also want to clarify that shipping labels are generated through our fulfillment system, and while carrier scans can occasionally cause confusion in transit, there was no indication from tracking that the package was lost. That said, we never want anyone to feel blamed or spoken to in a way that feels dismissive. We will review the communication internally. We’re glad the package arrived and hope your wife enjoyed her birthday gift. Portland Leather Goods
