Portland Leather GoodsReviews of portlandleathergoods.com

A company that is growing rapidly because of selling on TikTok, should have much better customer service support. Refunds are difficult to get, even for damaged or missing items. Customer service agents are only available online, and rarely get back in a timely manner. When you finally get an approval for return, you the consumer has to pay the return shipping fees of 10, 15 dollars. And thats even if the item is damaged. The more I deal with this company, the worse their customer service gets.

The return process with this company has been incredibly frustrating. The automated return portal wasn't functioning properly for my recent order. I reached out to customer service to get a direct refund to my original payment method for an unused item, but the process became a total hassle. To make matters worse, they never reply back to my messages. Because they never reached out to me, I ended up having to keep the bag. The products are really not all that, and because of this terrible support and communication, I will never order anything else from them.

I am incredibly disappointed with Portland Leather Goods and the lack of a reasonable solution to a shipping issue that should have been relatively simple to resolve. I was genuinely excited to receive my bag, but unfortunately, the shipping carrier assigned to my order refuses to deliver to my home on an active-duty military installation. I understand that military bases have security requirements, which is why I offered to meet the delivery driver at the front entrance of the installation. Even that was apparently not an acceptable solution. The carrier informed me that my address would automatically be marked as undeliverable, regardless of any notes added to the delivery instructions. I also requested a callback from a supervisor, which never happened. After reaching out to Portland Leather Goods and following up when I received no response, I was finally informed that the company cannot select or guarantee a specific shipping carrier, including USPS or FedEx. Even more frustrating, their proposed solution was to send a replacement order while acknowledging that it could be assigned to the exact same courier, potentially resulting in the exact same delivery problem. How is that a reasonable solution? I am not asking for special treatment. I am asking for a company to provide a reliable way for a paying customer to receive an order. USPS and FedEx regularly service military installations, yet Portland Leather apparently has no way to accommodate this situation or guarantee that a replacement will actually arrive. As a military family, we already navigate frequent moves and the challenges of living on installations. It is disappointing to encounter a company that cannot provide a workable shipping alternative. What bothers me most is not simply the delivery issue, but the lack of meaningful resolution. Portland Leather has acknowledged the problem, yet the only replacement option offered could repeat the same failure. I wanted to love this company and its products. Instead, I am left questioning why a business selling nationwide cannot offer greater flexibility when its chosen delivery service is unable to complete an order. Military families deserve the same opportunity to receive the products they purchase as any other customer. Until Portland Leather improves its shipping options and customer service, I cannot recommend ordering from them if you live on a military installation. A beautiful product and a good reputation mean very little when the company cannot ensure customers can actually receive their purchases.

To start with, five minutes after putting my order through, I wrote customer service to tell them I ordered the zipper one by mistake could they modify my order and adjust the invoice accordingly. I received an answer saying they couldn’t find my order. I wrote again and was never answered. It’s not worth the price. I purchased the mini crossbody tote and the pouch to go inside. Once the pouch is inside, there is no room to put anything in the pouch. Too small for the price. I’m very much disappointed.

I paid for hassle free returns but was unable to achieve this on their website. I emailed the company, they replied quickly that they would review my request and get back to me. They did not get back to me and did not respond to a second inquiry. They lost me as a customer.

I got a smaller bag than I ordered, the order was incomplete and now I'm having trouble getting my money back. There is no one to speak to and the AI generated responses answer nothing. Don't do it! I did a lot of research on these bags and the reviews were good. But if it's not right, you're going to have to fight to get your money back.

Great Products, Disappointing Customer Support I love Portland Leather’s products and have been a longtime customer who has ordered several items from the company. Unfortunately, I accidentally ordered two identical Women’s Bifold Wallets when I intended to purchase only one. I promptly contacted Portland Leather to request removal of the duplicate wallet, a refund of the corresponding charge and tax, and shipment of only one wallet. However, Skylar, the AI assistant, was unable to assist, and I have not received a response from Portland Leather. Since the company no longer provides customer support by phone, I had no way to speak directly with a representative about this urgent issue. It is disappointing that an urgent order correction received neither effective assistance nor acknowledgment, especially from a company whose products I otherwise love.

It is nearly impossible to return a bag with Portland Leather. My bag arrived damaged, I attempted to return it with multiple emails, everything is virtual with the only response “sorry to hear that” .There is no customer service number and impossible to get in touch with someone. My only saving grace was Joyce in the Charlotte, NC store who allowed me to ship the bag to her store and she returned it. Thank you Joyce you get 5 stars. Portland Leather get 0 stars. Terrible company. Do not order from there.
