Love Our Heat Pump Pool Heater
I hired an Electrician to wire the unit, but I plumbed the unit and we had it installed within a few hours. The water was 76 degrees and it took the unit overnight to take it to 90 degrees. We have now found the best temperature for us, which is 88 degrees. The unit runs in the morning for a little while, then the sun takes over. By the end of the day, the water is 92 or so, when the outside temperature is in the high 90s. We have not really noticed a price increase that would make us say anything, as it is in the range of last year's cost of power. We went with this unit because all of our friends bought gas heaters and they turn them off, as the cost of using them is crazy. We don't intend to heat the pool in mid-winter, we just have a lot of shade in the backyard, and the water stays in the low high 70s to low 80s at best in the summer. Love the heater!
