So we decided to go with Plymouth Van Lines after Allen sold their services even if he was bad mouthing his competitors (truthfully shouldn’t do that it just shows we went with the wrong movers to being with honestly) as after he made the sale we never spoke to him again as he was unavailable or forward us to someone else. It was like it wasn’t his job anymore. We dealt with Cindy and she was great no issues there, the packers and the picker uppers were fantastic and quick and respectful. Even though one of the guys broke our living room lamp when trying to take it apart even after I told the guy not to cause it doesn’t come apart. But the worst part is unfortunately there was miscommunication and misunderstanding between what we told Allen and the guy who dropped our items which led to an unfortunate disaster after our items were dropped back to us. Everything got mixed up from our storage unit to our actual house stuff that we had asked and were promised it would be no issue and it would maintain separated so we can have a smooth process, again I was ensured by everyone that it wouldn’t be mixed up but everything was mixed up which took forever unloading cause we had to go thru each box before taking it off the truck. The unpackers didn’t reassemble our stuff as they stated kinda frustrating. This happened in OCT 2024 and we are still sorting thru the mess now in mid Feb 2025. Items damaged almost like they were tossed and kicked between moving trucks and were they stored it, even though I was told it wouldn’t be moving trucks. The guy who drove the simi for the final drop off was absolutely rude and not at all helpful. He refused to listen and disrespected our items. He wasn’t paying any attention and literally dropped our most breakable box from the truck side door to the ground due to his incompetence thankfully it was packed correctly on our part he then was very rough with our boxes that his dolly went right thru our hard rock shell box and destroyed that. He was so focused on getting the money handed to him that he was absolutely rude about it. He took more smoke breaks well the other two guys busted their butt to get the truck unloaded. He was just so unprofessional. I think his name was John. Will never do business again. I would recommend going elsewhere for your business.

TL;DR They need to work on their customer service and professionalism among other things. I wanted to wait and make sure everything was fully resolved before making this review to assure that i pass fair judgement. My wife and i were given multiple discounts with this company originally we noted that the delivery should take place when we reached our new home aswell(or within a couple days.) When that time came, we were told that theres a bigger window that our stuff should arrive. It was abit cumbersome since we were spending money on necessities that we had in the move which slowly diminished the discount we were initially given. When we tried confronting them about the inconvenience, one of the managers decided to bring his personal life into our conversation then proceed to undermine us and tell us we would be getting out delivery a specific day; once that day came, we didnt get a call or delivery. This went on for 2 weeks (The same individual would later try to emotionally manipulate us by mentioning that my wifes negative review is hurting his family and his children personally asked him to ask us to remove it.) I decided to call his boss and get things moving along. She was helpful initially but over that 3rd week, i did ask for some compensation. ------------ The good: -We eventually got our stuff -The initial packers were nice The bad: -their customer service is abysmal -we got half of our stuff a week after it was supposed to be here then another 2 weeks later and we got the rest because it was apparently dropped off at a different customers house. Im not upset that it was dropped off at someone elses house, surprisingly. Im more upset that they didnt tell us that and my wife and i had no clue were our stuff was and when we inquired about it, we were given the runaround. -we were asked to take down my wifes negative review and told we would get $250(100 for inconvenience and 150 to remove the review) we havent recieved any money as of yet but were told the 100 was in the mail in the form of a check. I consider myself a reasonable man in these situations but everything could have been handled way better than it was and that lasting impression is strong.

This is an update after I wrote the review. My husband got phone calls about the review and we were told they would give us $250 instead of $100 for inconvenience. I wasn’t contacted directly so the reasonable spouse could talk. We haven’t received the check yet (and I’m not saying they didn’t send it. It’s been a week and a half) and it felt like a bribe. What made me make this update was one of the managers called me and tried to emotionally manipulate me saying his family was affected and his daughter told him directly that the review hurt him. There were more personal details they went into that isn’t my place to say. That’s very unprofessional. In any professional workplace, this would be a form of misconduct. I did learn that moving companies generally have problems in the first place like missing/lost items and less organization skills. If you eventually want all your stuff, this is the place. I did want to say the base of our move was $1100 for a studio and it went up to $2700 which included discounts. The money added would've been by zelle like how I paid but the strenuous option of check was the only option until I made the review To summarize, the managers are communicative in the ways said. Not sure money-wise if it was worth it. I encourage others to make reviews so companies can do better and not be swept under the rug. More reviews mean more accountability.

I had a great experience with Plymouth Van Lines who moved me to the east coast. Kay was friendly and pro from the beginning. Their estimator came out to my home and took a detailed inventory of everything going. The guys who picked up my stuff were unbelievable. They definitely knew how to wrap all of my furniture with care and loaded the truck like tetris. About two weeks later I received delivery and everything was accounted for. The only damage was to my floor lamp. Their office sent me a claim form immediately after I told them about it. All in all I’m very satisfied.

They moved me like lightning. 5 days in between pick up and delivery. California to Texas. Great job!

Plymouth Van Lines moved us from San Diego to Oregon. What can I say Cindi and her team came through for us at the last minute and I'll have to say, this company went above and beyond in a dire situation. The pick up team was exceptional, 10 stars. Professional, organized and knew exactly what needed to be done upon walking into our house last minute. They exceeded my expectations in packing skills and customer service. Cindi, the office manager, had impressive communication along the entire way, no BS and straight to the point. When our things arrived in our new home, they handled things quickly, professionally, asked where boxes needed to go and cleaned up all the moving blankets, assembled everything they took apart. We had one item missing and the team was swift to replace it. Overall, this company went above and beyond to make sure our move out of state was as stress free as it could be. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Thank you all for coming to our rescue on such short notice. It was sooo appreciated.

Eight spam emails from this company in the space of 3 minutes in clear breach of GDPR. I've politely told them I live in England, I'm not interested in their services, and have unsubscribed, but yet they choose to act illegally by sending me relentless spam emails trying to persuade me to use them to move from Brooklyn to Blawenburg.
