Beware of Plymouth Van Lines, Not Recommended
This one star review is based on the execution of delivery and a representative named Adam who contacted me regarding the delay of my delivery. I had been given a window of 5 to 14 days for delivery, April 16 was pick up and by April 27th or so, I was told the delivery would be on Sunday the 3rd of May. I had made it clear from the beginning that deliveries were not allowed in my building on Sunday prior to pickup. They then moved delivery to Monday May 4th. I received a text that morning at 6am that they were here and left because their truck did not fit to the docking area. The dock doesn't open until 7:30 when they could have been guided in by the Dock Manager who has guided in countless semi trucks over the 17 years has has worked here. I believe an experienced company and driver would have checked the logistics or even asked me well before the morning of delivery. The delivery was rescheduled to the next day with an additional 1800.00 for the new truck they claimed they had to use. When I expressed my outrage at the situation, I was offered a 300.00 discount for the new truck, or the option of not having my things delivered. I didn't feel the amount matched the inconvenience and wrote Adam a text to reflect that. I also mentioned that all these facts would be included in my review. Adam called me and the highlights of the call were, he suggested rescinding his original discount if I were going to write this in a review anyway. He then offered me an additional 100.00 off if I were to sign a statement stating I would not write a review. When I suggested that sounded like a bribe, he accused me of blackmailing him with a review. He also stated I would be taking food off of his table. In my opinion, Adam has a great deal to learn about customer service and problem resolution. He was quite unpleasant to deal with. Given all of these circumstances, I could never recommend this company.
