Moved my appointment up 30 min after making it 10 mins earlier - charged me another $110. Promised me forever they would refund within 10 days. Others told the transaction happened and it was my banks issue. 25 days now and still nothing .. my wife used them around the same time over charged her missed appointment when the doctor did not show up. A month now and won’t refund. Keep telling us they will or the transaction took place
Stay away from them … my bank are working to fix these crooks

Careful with the "bait-and-switch"
I thought only car dealers did the old "bait-and-switch", but I guess the medical industry does it also. I was screened and they said I was fully covered, that all I would owe would be by deductible. Now, after seeing the doctor 2 times for 2 video calls that each lasted less than 15 minutes, I am being charged $360! Their customer service is horrible, and I'm trying to get this resolved with no success so far. And the worst part, all of this was a real waste of money because I didn't even qualify for the medicine/treatment recommended. I highly DO NOT recommend!

PlushCare: CAUTION!
Dr. Alexander Drew, who somehow has 4.5 stars on the app yet there is no way to rate people on the app or anywhere that I can find, had an appointment with me while I was working and I just decided to cash pay (around $160) because I did not have my insurance card & couldn’t leave work but was sick. I had a self-diagnosed UTI confirmed by a test I took from Walgreens, symptoms, and experience. I also had a sinus infection.
Also self diagnosed, but I usually get maybe one per year and after about a month and symptoms were getting worse and persisting, and having had several sinus infections in the past, I knew what it was. I asked him for antibiotics that would cover both the uti and the sinus infection and knew ahead of time it was Levaquin that was the appropriate choice. I also mentioned that I typically take urogesic blue but was out and believe if I had it, I wouldn’t have the uti. With urogesic, I only needed to take it five or six times a year maybe when I felt like I had engaged in any activity or not drank enough water, swam in dirty water, or done something that would lead to a UTI. After getting urogesic, I went from 5 to 6 UTIs a year down to one every few years. I’m a pharmacist so I know that urogesic blue can help with prevention. I ran out of it and wasn’t able to take the urogesic blue and developed a UTI. I also know he prescribed the antibiotic twice on accident to two different pharmacies. This is a strong antibiotic with a black box warning regarding severe, disabling, and potentially permanent side effects, including tendon rupture, tendinitis, peripheral neuropathy, and central nervous system effects. Good thing I’m a pharmacist and knew not to take both. After a couple of days I messaged PlushCare about the urogesic blue thinking he possibly meant to call in urogesic and Levaquin, still giving him the benefit of the doubt, he said I would have to book another appointment because we never spoke about that. That is 100% not true. I requested the video or transcript of the call. They wouldn’t provide it, but did confirm that at least a transcript existed. The company refused to read the transcripts that they keep of these appointments where I do mention it.
This company is just like every other company that is THE problem in healthcare right now, in my opinion. Fake reviews? I asked to be directed to the reviews of the physician so I could write one and not only could I not figure out how to review him, the company couldn’t tell me either. In my opinion, this is a money-centric patient mill. Book another appointment for what? We had it. Another way to get $. Rather than serve the patient outside of the appointment, and escribe (takes 10 seconds) an extremely minor drug used for uti prevention, he refused to prescribe it and said I would need another appointment. Scam?
They also automatically and covertly sign you up for a $20 per month subscription. It is very hidden and difficult to cancel. Plushcare is ultimately a scam at worst & misleading at best, in my opinion. And as soon as I figure out how the doctors are “rated” I will make sure that I rate this person. I’m very interested if anyone will ever explain to me where those reviews come from. He is not held accountable for prescribing Levaquin for 28 days which is inappropriate as this is a strong antibiotic with an FDA black box warning and is withholding other medication I need and should have gotten from that appointment that I paid for?
Also, here is what it looks like when you click the “link” they provide to cancel your membership. (Since I can’t add the photo I will copy and paste the text)
It says:
Sorry, we couldn't find what you were looking for.
The link you followed may be broken or the page may have been removed. If you would like help, please give us a call at (855) 913-0255.
So I called. A grievance was filed. And I was told the $20 fee that is very covertly added to be automatically withdrawn from your account monthly, is not automatically added if you call to make the appointment vs using the app. But the whole point is using the app/online because that’s where you go to have your telehealth visit. This is misleading and wrong. This is only the first platform I will be addressing their standards and practices, and holding them accountable. As I said before I’m a pharmacist and I see how broken the healthcare system is and I work with a very vulnerable set of patients who this could easily be confused by Plushcare. As healthcare providers our oath is “first do no harm” and this could harm several vulnerable people. It could also help a lot of people if it was a patient care first, money later approach. But it isn’t in my opinion so ask the right questions and know how things work. While this would be a great app for the elderly, or the homebound, I would never trust this company to serve my own grandmother.

Not transparent
I've already sent a review. And I keep getting text messages even though I've canceled my account. There should bebe clear cut the cost for the services how many doctor visits are required and how much they will cost. All this was hidden I was scheduled for a same-day appointment on a Sunday, but then told I would need additional visits as he was only an as he was only an weekend, doctor and therefore additional charges. Although this physician would not share any information about costs. I filled out a form prior to the visit explaining what I was requesting, it was not urgent and they knew upfront why I was seeking a visit. That's a scam. I continue to have a number of miscellaneous charges pending to this company on
my credit card!!

They told me I was ineligible, promised a refund, and then charged me for 7 months.
In August 2025, a PlushCare representative called me to inform me I was ineligible for the service and medication I had requested. She assured me I would be refunded. I immediately logged into my account, cancelled my membership, and removed my payment method entirely.
I never received a refund. I never received a single email, invoice, or any communication from PlushCare again. I assumed the matter was closed.
Seven months later, I discovered they had been charging my credit card $19.99 every single month — plus an additional $99 charge the same day they told me I was ineligible. Nearly $260 in unauthorized charges on an account I was told was closed, for a service I was told I couldn't even use.
This isn't a billing error. This is a company that continued charging a cancelled account, with a removed payment method, with zero communication, for over half a year. When I tried to dispute the charges with my bank, I discovered PlushCare had been silently updating my card details through Visa's account updater system to keep the charges going.
I have filed a formal demand for refund and will be escalating to the CFPB and FTC if not resolved within 7 days.
Do not give this company your payment information.

Charged a copay for a visit that never happened
The doctor called me about an hour before my scheduled appointment to tell me he wouldn’t be able to refill my prescriptions and was cancelling the visit. The call lasted less than a minute and I was told I would be refunded since the appointment couldn’t happen. Despite this, PlushCare still recorded the interaction as a completed visit and billed my insurance. When I contacted support, they initially argued that I had technically “seen the doctor,” even though the call was simply to cancel the appointment and lasted under a minute. After pushing back, they said they would escalate the case.
Months later, I discovered they still billed my insurance as if a full appointment had taken place and charged me a copay. Being billed for a medical visit that never actually happened is incredibly frustrating and unacceptable.

Billing Scam
Careful, they will sneak "enrollment" into the booking of a session and charge you monthly without laying out billing or services or making it clear that you are doing anything more than scheduling a singular appointment. Very questionable behavior. I wouldn't seek services from them.
