Don’t do it unless you have a month to wait for your prescription
Doctor was nice and could see me quickly but the actual process to get your prescription is ridiculous. I followed up 4 days after my appointment with the care team. Only then did they send me a prior authorization form. Immediately filled it out and they are now saying it’ll be up to 10 business days before they even submit it to insurance. So at that point it will have been 18 days since my appointment before they submit to insurance. Then I have to wait for insurance to approve. Meanwhile they are messaging me about setting up a follow up appointment. Sure they are on top of that to make sure they generate as much income as possible but not worried about providing actual care. Hard pass, I would go elsewhere.

Customer Service and Responses are poor
I need pre approval for my medication which was perscribed from my plushcare doctor. My insurance is waiting for a form to fill my perscription. I have sent several messages and asked to be given an email to contact my doctor. I recieved an automatic email with no real response. This has been weeks. My insurance will cover my medication but needs more information from the doctor.

Extremely rude and rushed..
First time as a patient on PlushCare and I was met with the most rude, impatient Dr.
Appt. Was virtual at 9:30pm CT and he appeared on the video call as if I had awaken him out of his sleep, he rushed through any questions I had by simply saying, “ I don’t know, I don’t know? You have to ask the customer service about that” He didn’t complete any notes on me, only orders labs and ended the call within 3 minutes. Stay far away from Dr. Daniel Crabtree if I were you.

Bill me one, bill me twice, bill everyone for the same service
Plush Medical Billing: A Cautionary Tale of Healthcare Fraud
The consequences can be dire when a healthcare company prioritizes profits over patients. My six-month ordeal with Plush Medical Billing is a stark reminder of the pervasive fraud threatening our medical system.
The saga began innocently enough. I paid in full for my services upfront, prior to my appointment. However, a patient advocate inquired about my private insurance status four days after my visit. Despite having already settled my bill, Plush saw an opportunity to exploit this information for their gain.
Without my knowledge or consent, Plush submitted a claim to my insurance company, attempting to double-dip and reap additional profits from a service they had already been paid for in full. This brazen act of billing fraud sparked a relentless pursuit by Plush to collect from both my insurance and myself directly.
Over the course of 50+ emails, I provided irrefutable proof of my upfront payment, yet Plush continued their pursuit. In a stunning display of audacity, they illegally charged my credit card for the already-paid service, a second time. Fortunately, Goldman Sachs reversed the fraudulent charge, recognizing the clear exploitation.
However, Plush persisted in their double-billing attempts. The unending harassment and fraudulent practices forced me to seek the intervention of the U.S. Attorney General. Only then did Plush allegedly cease their pursuit, but the question remains: for how long?
This experience underscores the rotten core of Plush Medical Billing. From the initial fraud to the relentless pursuit of unjust payments, their actions reek of greed and a blatant disregard for patient rights. The fact that the involved doctor was subsequently disbarred is a damning indictment of the entire operation.
Patients deserve better. We must shine a light on such fraudulent practices, holding companies like Plush accountable for their actions. Only through collective awareness and legal action can we hope to purge such scams from our healthcare system.

Dr Abernathy is a true Karen
Dr. Karen Abernathy is a horrible doctor.
When I specifically asked PlushCare not to assign me to her, they instead forced an appointment where I would need to pay $50 fee to cancel.
Also, although she did not help me in any capacity and was in fact mean and rude, PlushCare still billed my insurance three times. Needless to say, I will dispute through bank (you should be able to get at least your membership back).
PlushCare is awful and I would not recommend it to anybody.

The Doctor was professional
The Doctor was professional. Her clinical reasoning did not match my treatment plan. She said she felt I should be seen in person. I stated if after 2 days on antibiotics if I was not improving I would. The proceeds to write for a Z-pack 250 mg I shared that those are ineffective with me she said it’s standard treatment. The an inhaler 👍🏼. But not a corticosteroid ( medrol dose pack ) which also is standard for the level of breathing difficulty. Said one thing did another and sure enough Thursday went to an urgent care and was put on steroids and different antibiotic. I reached out to
Customer care which says 2-3 business days to respond uhhh how is that caring ?!?! Then what response I got was from a bot directing me to FAQ. Give me a flipping break quit selling you care you don’t. I cancelled right away. What a fake flim flam of a company. Avoid them at all cost. $129 for a half treatment. Then I had to seek further care. And not one human being has reached out to me.
