PlushCare saved my life. I had a terrible time finding a doctor before and essentially never went unless I had a serious illness or injury. I found PlushCare after my dentist refused to work with me because my blood pressure was too high. Dr. Treadwell assessed my case and ordered bloodwork for me which was able to be done at a Quest Diagnostics facility right near my home. We discovered that in addition to HBP I also had high cholesterol and diabetes. I was obese and on my way to a heart attack or stroke or both. Dr. Treadwell started me on medication that was quite affordable and made an improvement but I was still diabetic and obese. I had struggled with my weight since I was in college and never had any success with just diet and exercise. She was able to use my diagnosis to prescribe Mounjaro, and that was the solution. I was finally able to successfully control my eating. I was able to learn what a normal amount of food is and not be overwhelmed with hunger. Since I started working with Dr. Treadwell and had the access to meet with her through PlushCare I have lost almost 50 pounds, reversed my diabetes, lowered my blood pressure to normal, and lowered my cholesterol to normal. This has all happened in less than a year. I am at significantly lower risk for heart disease and stroke and feel better than I have ever felt. My father and his father and his father’s father all died quite young from heart disease and I had resolved myself to that same fate chalking it up to bad genes, but that has all changed for me. I am looking forward to a long and healthy life. Thank you Dr. Treadwell and thank you PlushCare for figuring out how to deliver healthcare.
