Horrible initial setup! The instructions on the unit clearly state three simple steps: connect the carbon filter, fill up the tub, turn it on! So I did just that. Then pure black carbon filled the tub. Had to drain it once. Then just had to drain it again because the carbon destroyed the filter. Caused so much headache doing all this ad my plunge is upstairs!

Constant repairs and downtime
I researched at-home ice baths for some time before finally forking over the hefty price tag for the Plunge 'All-In'. Although I'd partially ignored some negative reviews about Plunge products (and instead paid more attention to the positive reviews), I was very excited about my Plunge! Unfortunately, I've experienced too many issues to count at this point. I’ve had the unit for around six months and it has consistently been down every few weeks (multiple leaks, electrical issues, etc.).
Before continuing, I want to mention that I am not the type to complain, and do not enjoy writing negative feedback (I'm someone who enjoys all the positive benefits of ice baths, after all!). The reason I have taken the time to write this feedback is because I wanted to share my experience so other prospective consumers may avoid the kinds of unpleasant issues I have endured.
I submitted this same feedback (as a 'verified customer') to the Plunge website since I think it's important info for prospective customers to know, however my review was never added to the 'All-In' product page. I believe my review is fair, fact-based, and genuine (not scathing or unhinged), so I'm guessing it's not being displayed because it isn't 4 or 5 star.
Here are a few specific examples: my Plunge was broken upon arrival and leaked 70 gallons of water all over my property (I've seen this same issue reported by other users); the filter housing has broken twice in the last month (a known issue); the thermometer broke; fuse issues; it has randomly went offline and/or shut off for no apparent reason; etc. I spoke with Brian at Plunge (in the repairs department) in an attempt to help give product feedback and "help him help me". I suggested investigating the root cause of the issues, considering replacing my unit since it appears to be a lemon, etc. - however, he said there’s nothing they could do apart from continuing to constantly fix it, and indicated I would just need to continue to deal with the constant downtime and repairs.
Plunge has fixed the unit each time it has went down, however I typically have to wait days for Plunge to first diagnose the issue, then put me in queue to deploy a fix. I don't think I'm an unreasonable customer - I understand some downtime is normal, but I paid for a new, premium product that's down every few weeks (and I like to plunge daily), so it feels like Plunge sent me an ongoing problem and has not risen to the occasion to make things right. Once again, I've suggested to them that they could consider investigating what might be causes all these issues, sending a new unit, or at very least giving my some kind of 'fast track' for repairs - all of these suggestions were turned down by the repairs department and by the Plunge executive team.
I love the technology, think the company has a great vision, and believe the product has great potential - but my experience has been really disappointing so far, especially since I Plunge daily and have to deal with frequent downtime. I believe I have been extremely patient throughout the process, and have tried to give Plunge the benefit of the doubt, but unfortunately Plunge hasn't went that "extra mile" that you’d hope for with a premium product like the 'All-In'. Possibly the older Plunge models are less problematic than the ‘All-In’ has been, however based on what I’ve read online, and based on my own personal experience, the 'All-In’s' seem to be prone to ongoing issues. I wish I’d read more consumer feedback before purchasing my Plunge ‘All-In’, and taken it more seriously.

The XL plunge …is now problematic
I have owned the XL plunge for a little under a year now. Loved the product until a month ago. Trouble shooting sending endless emails and wasted weeks. They finally sent me a new pump which I installed, now the power strip with the breaker is bad. Every email is more wasted days. Now again they want me to confirm the same shipping address they just shipped the water pump a week ago. They also tried to get me to file a claim with the extended warranty until I reminded them it was less than a year. It has been challenging lately.
