This order was an warranty issue and it has taken forever to process, and is absolutely terrible. Xcover, the warranty company that I bought the warranty from through you guys is awful as well. Please try to do better, this is terrible. I will never recommend Plunge because of that only. The unit itself is great.

Wade, we understand your frustration with the warranty process, and we appreciate your positive comments about the Plunge itself. The extended protection plan you purchased through Plunge is administered by XCover, which makes its own coverage and reimbursement decisions. Those decisions are separate from Plunge’s role in diagnosing the equipment, providing repair options, and supplying our invoices and supporting documents. We remain responsible for our part of that process. We’re reviewing the outstanding documentation and repair steps with your concerns in mind.

Would give a zero if I could!
There is not enough room here to explain how terrible a time I have had with this company and their product. They had to replace the chiller 5 times and each time it was an excruciatingly difficult experience with them. They wanted us to pay $5000 for the next chiller even though they had sent 5 defective ones that never lasted more than 3 months. Then we found the Ambhor company online that makes the Plunge tub in China and the cost to consumers was $2300 shipping out of Texas. After I told them this and writing a letter, they said they would replace the defective chiller ONLY if I FIRST gave them a good review here. Yes they tried to bribe me for a replacement chiller. We had enough and bought a Morozko tub that is made here in the US. It’s more expensive, but they have a much, much better reputation!

Deirdre, you are right to call this out. We reviewed the record and confirmed that a proposed resolution was improperly tied to posting a positive review. That should not have happened, and we are sorry. Plunge does not condition warranty, repair, replacement, refund, or any other service on creating, changing, or removing a review.
We also recognize the repeated chiller failures and difficult support experience you described. We are addressing this internally, and any remaining service matter will be handled separately from your review.

Run away, don't walk!
Purchased a plung in 2023. It's been broken 3 times, twice the same issue - defective connections that cause the tub to leak and drain itself. Two times, the tub was out of commission for more than 2 months. Their warranty is a worthless scam. You call support and they tell you to schedule a call - which is a month out. Then you give them all the videos and pictures, and they pawn you off to their third party warrant provider Clyde, now Xcare, who asks to you repeat everything. Plunge offers no support, sells an extended warranty that doesn't work, and makes a substandard junk product. If you're lucky enough to get replacement parts, those are probably defective too. Customer service doesn't care. It's a churn and burn business. Once they got your money they know you'll never be back. Buying from them is a huge mistake. Plenty of other products on the market that actually work, with real warranties and businesses that stand behind their brand and products.

Adam, we’re sorry for the repeated delays and duplicate requests for information. That is not the support experience we aim to provide. We’ve escalated the Plunge-side documentation issue and are working to locate the remaining materials you previously submitted. The protection-plan administrator makes its own coverage decisions, and we’ll keep the case-specific follow-up in the private support channel.

Terrible company
Terrible company. Their product breaks and they charge you $135 to tell you why it is broken. When your business model is to charge your customer when your product breaks, it's a sure sign that a company is going out of business. I'd avoid this company at all costs.

Brandon, we’re sorry this experience has turned you from an advocate into a detractor. We understand your concern about the diagnostic process. The process is intended to identify the cause of a failure and the appropriate repair path—not simply to confirm that a product is not working. We’ve located your support conversation and will keep any case-specific discussion there so your information stays private.

Extremely disappointing reliability…
**Extremely disappointing reliability and service experience**
We purchased our Plunge unit in July 2024 for approximately $13,700 and expected a premium product and service experience. Unfortunately, we have experienced repeated problems almost from the beginning.
Shortly after installation, we had issues with firmware and software updates. Since then, the unit has experienced multiple cooling failures and chiller replacements, along with issues involving the control board, fuse, filter housing, water leaks, and a leaking LED light.
Several repairs resulted in significant downtime, with some taking weeks to complete. At one point, the unit was not cooling again shortly after a chiller replacement. Most recently, a chiller replaced on July 23, 2026, has already failed, and the tub is leaking again despite a leaking LED light being replaced on August 4, 2026. We are now awaiting yet another chiller replacement, a UIL board replacement, and repairs to the leaking piping.
The service experience has been equally frustrating. Some of the repairs arranged through Plunge were performed by a third-party home theater installation company rather than what we understood to be a specialized Plunge service technician.
We also experienced an extremely confusing and lengthy warranty process. The explanations for the warranty denial appeared to change over time, including concerns about low water, "slurping" events, filter maintenance, and commercial-use requirements. We were initially told our extended warranty would remain active and that the replacement components would be covered, only to later be told something different. After additional discussions, we were ultimately directed to file a claim through the extended warranty provider.
To be fair, some members of the Customer Success team have been responsive and willing to escalate our concerns. However, after paying this much for a premium product, experiencing repeated failures, extensive downtime, multiple repairs, and ongoing warranty confusion has been extremely disappointing.
At this point, we have very little confidence in the long-term reliability of the unit. The concept is great, but based on our experience, the product reliability and service process have not met the expectations that come with the price.
We sincerely hope the current round of repairs finally resolves the ongoing problems.

Stephanie, we’re sorry this has been such a frustrating and prolonged experience. Repeated downtime and a process that has felt unclear are not the experience we want for our customers. Our team is actively coordinating the current repair plan and the remaining service items with you. We appreciate your candid feedback and your recognition of the team members who have tried to help.

I Would Not Recommend Purchasing a Plunge Unit
The unit itself seems to be a quality product—until it requires service. Unfortunately, my experience with the company’s customer service and warranty support has been extremely frustrating.
Email responses are slow, and there is no phone number available to speak directly with a service technician. I have been trying for over a month to obtain a simple $20 replacement part. During that time, I have provided photo after photo for their “engineering team” to review. After all of that, I was ultimately told that the entire chiller needs to be replaced and that I should go through the warranty company.
The most disappointing part is that the company appears to have a decent product, but the lack of accessible customer service and difficulty obtaining basic replacement parts would have made me reconsider my purchase had I known about it beforehand.
Considering the significant cost of the product, I expected a much higher level of customer support after the sale. Unfortunately, my experience has been the opposite. In hindsight, I wish I had paid more attention to the other reviews mentioning the company’s lack of customer service before making my purchase.
The product may be good, but the after-sale support has been a major disappointment.

Alex, we’re sorry this process has been so frustrating. A month of troubleshooting and repeated requests for information without a clear path forward is not the support experience we want to provide. We have escalated this review and located what appears to be the related support case. We are reviewing the service and warranty history now, and any case-specific follow-up will stay in the private support conversation so we do not expose your personal information here.

Plunge is the worst company
Plunge is the worst company I’ve ever bought a product from. I have had issues with my cold plunge since purchasing it.
Dealing with their customer service is a never ending loop. Everything is done online and you need to schedule calls weeks in advance to speak to anyone.
As for the product, I’ve had a leak issue, that took weeks to fix because they won’t send anyone out. Most recently my plunge won’t circulate water and I’m working through a third party under an extended warranty. That third party is again, a never ending loop with no answers.
I’ve used the plunge maybe 10-15 times in a year and a half because I always have issues. They aren’t willing to work with me.
At this point all I want is for them to carry it up from the basement and pay for the tags to get the chiller and tub picked up by my trash company.
Response from PlungeSep 1, 2026
Mike, we hear how exhausting this has been. We are reviewing the existing support history so you do not have to start over. Plunge can coordinate its own diagnosis, records, and repair steps, while the independent protection-plan administrator controls its claim decision. We cannot promise that third party’s outcome or a particular remedy, but we will make Plunge’s responsibilities and next steps clear. — Plunge

It has been impossible to get our cold plunge fixed. It will not get colder than 60 degrees. We have had to have the chiller replaced (supposedly arrived defective) and still not getting cold. We are constantly getting the run around from customer service and passed around to other departments and always with, we have to get back to you. They are trying to run out the clock on our warranty.

Hi Hilda, we're sorry the replacement and support experience has been so frustrating. We hear your concern that the unit still is not cooling after the prior chiller replacement, and we appreciate you bringing the continuing issue to our attention. - Plunge
