It’s been a long hard road with Plunge. I thought I did my homework. It was one of the most expensive tubs on the market. It took over 4 weeks for them to ship. Three more weeks to actually get it delivered. Tub leaks and I still haven’t been able to use. Customer service has been a nightmare. I just want them to take it back at this point and find another.

It took a month to get where it should…
It took a month to get where it should have been after day 2
If you are that short staffed that it takes days to communicate you are way understaffed.
This was a $10,000 purchase
The support by the staff was good. It’s the ability to connect that’s extremely poor and that’s on Plunge Managment and Company as a whole!!!
Please fix your customer support.
4 people supporting is ridiculous

Just own that you are not concerned about properly supplying timely support. I have never with any company been told - dont call our customer support please email us as email responses are responded to 50% quicker. It took days between some responses from Plunges side.
Picking up the phone and calling customer support should be more than adequate to address the problem.
Telling people to email is doing nothing other than giving you an out to hide behind so that people dont see how understaffed you are to support the customer support that the customer paid multiple hundreds of dollars for if they got it.

We will get this feedback to our entire team and strive to get you the timely assistance you need and deserve.
Appreciate your help throughout the process of getting this resolved for you once again, Doug.

poorly manufactured sauna and worse warranty
I love my Plunge cold plunge, but my experience with their sauna has been very disappointing. The product quality is poor, and they do not stand behind their warranty. After just over a year of ownership, the electrical box failed with a loud pop, leaving the heater completely nonfunctional.
When I contacted customer service, they put me through countless troubleshooting steps only to ultimately deny coverage under warranty. The root cause was a basic manufacturing oversight—the electrical box was never sealed, which allowed water and insects to enter and damage the system. This problem could have easily been prevented with a small amount of sealant during production.
This company refuses to take responsibility for obvious manufacturing flaws. Sealing electrical systems is a basic requirement for any product designed for outdoor use, yet they failed to do so. Instead of standing behind their product, they placed the blame on me—the customer. That alone says everything about the integrity of this company.
Now I’m stuck paying over $1,000 out of pocket to get it working again, doing all the repairs myself. Rest assured, I’ll be sealing the electrical box properly this time—something the manufacturer should have done from the start. Customers deserve better.
Because of this experience, I will not be purchasing from Plunge again.

Hi Richard,
I do so apologize for your less than ideal experience with your sauna that you have had thus far.
I do see that you have created a ticket and our sauna support team has assisted you in the diagnosis of what occurred with your sauna.
I do see that due to some setup and usage parameters, the sauna warranty was voided. I do apologize this occurred but am glad to see that our team has provided a path to resolution with the proper parts and repairs you are needing to get back up and running.
Once again I do apologize that this has been your experience thus far but am confident once those parts arrive, our repair technicians will be able to get you back up and in working order.
We are so glad to hear you are also enjoying your Plunge and we are here to assist however we can if anything else is ever needed, Richard.

AWFUL customer service and awful poor…
AWFUL customer service and awful poor quality product. Bought a Plunge Commercial XL in March 2023, the last 28 months I have had ELEVEN (11!!!!) outages due to faulty equipment and parts. It has leaked out completely 2 times causing extensive damage to my facility. I recently called and asked for a new tub or refund (still have 7 months of my extended warranty) and they are saying they can give me $4k towards the upgrade but the new commercial is now $13,000 compared to the $7500 I purchased 28 months ago. So I would pay $1000 more in the upgrade. This tub is faulty, it breaks constantly, and the worst part about it is THEY KNOW IT and they won't do anything about it. All the review on Reddit and here make it obvious a ton of people are having issues like this and it's not just me. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.
Response from PlungeAug 21, 2025
Hi Renee,
I do so apologize that your unit has experienced previous issues. I do see that we have assisted you in getting these resolved as covered under warranty for you. I do apologize once again, this is not what we would hope or want from you.
Although our new commercial unit is a higher price point, your current commercial unit is still under your extended warranty as you mentioned, so any parts or repairs for that unit are all still covered at no cost to you.
We truly want to make your plunge ownership something you can feel confident in. We are here to help if anything is being experienced with your V1 tub at this time.
Please let us know if we may assist. If a support ticket is needed please reach out to [email protected] as done previously.
We are here to assist as needed and want to support you to the best of our ability.

Customer service doesn’t exist
I want to share my experience with Plunge customer support, in hopes that others can avoid the mistake I made. Really it’s just confirming many of these other posts. Plunge might have the worst customer support of any company I have dealt with. My thought is that the Plunge tub is aesthetically beautiful, but what they are selling is lipstick on a pig. I have recently had an issue with my water pump, where the water is not cycling through the system, almost as if it’s air locked. Which we have determined is not the issue. Long story short, I started going to work trying to fix the issue. If you call customer support they will not answer your call, ever. Try it. In the answering service they push you towards submitting a ticket via email or on their site, at which point you’ll get an email response the next day, if you’re lucky. The initial support email was a request for pictures and videos of the issue, which I had already sent in, in the previous email. So after a few days I got nowhere with support other than pictures sent. As frustrated as I was with the issue, I finally called the sales line because I figured at least I’d get a human; although it works to connect with a person, all they will say is that they are going to “escalate” the issue to support. Fast forward 11 days to my initial contact with support, many many phone call attempts (not one of which was answered), and a lot of clearly automated emails from the company, 2 different sales people that answered my calls, I finally got a guy named Brian with support that tried to help.
After all this, they wanted me to submit a claim on X-cover, which was basically me redoing everything I had previously done in sharing videos and pics of the issue. Where we are with this issue now is that Plunge is going to send me a new power source for the water pump (which I’ve already tried). When/if that doesn’t work then they will be sending me an upgraded water pump, which will require new plumbing. All of which I have to do myself because they “don’t have any techs in my region”. Mind you I live in Northern California about 2.5 hrs from their company HQ’s. I even explained to Brian that I had already tried a new pump/power source as I looked up the make and model of the pump and bought a replacement myself from Amazon. Long story short, that wasn’t the fix. I can go on and on telling the details about this, but I’ve probably bored you enough already. If you’re thinking about a Plunge, please consider a different direction. Otherwise you might find yourself with an issue and no resources to fix it, other than the troubleshooting videos on their website, which are extremely basic.
I threw it all to the wind towards the end of last week and I went ahead and purchased a Morozko unit, which I thought about doing initially but I was saving some money with Plunge. Well you get what you pay for. I made the purchase and a sales manager called me over the weekend to introduce himself and talk to me about their product, and today the shipping manager called me to inform me that the ice bath was shipping out. Both of them gave me their numbers and followed up with email. They are direct numbers. So far I’ve interacted with 3 people with Morozko, all of which were very helpful and excited about their product. I bought a Morozko unit that was already built and assembled, so it’s set to arrive in 3 days. The hilarious thing is my Morozko is going to arrive before any replacement parts from Plunge.
The kicker in this whole Plunge issue is when I expressed my frustration with the pace and lack of dependability of the process, representative for Plunge have good lines to feed you, but dont actually take action to fix it. They stick to their email/claim/pic sending process. You’d think someone would almost be willing to get in the car and drive 2.5 hours to come take a look in person. Especially since it’s been dragged out for 12 + days at this point. I forgot to mention that I am also a Plunge sauna owner, so a pretty good customer of theirs. Well they lost me.
If you’re on the fence, do not choose Plunge. They will not be helpful if something goes wrong with your cold tub. I can’t speak for the various other companies in the space, but I should have spent the extra money initially and gone with Morozko.

Hi James,
I do so apologize that your Plunge experience has not been satisfactory for you. This is not at all what we would want for you on our end, also.
While we do have local technicians throughout the country, our process for any parts and repairs to be covered under warranty does require for us to gather visual assets.
I am seeing that you have been assisted at this time in getting the proper parts out to you to get you up and running and we greatly appreciate you going through our processes with us!
These help us get everything properly diagnosed, and covered under your factory or extended warranty as applicable!
Once again I am truly sorry your experience has not been up to our standards and we are committed to supporting you. Once your repair is complete, if anything else is ever needed, we are here.
[email protected]
Thanks again for your open and honest feedback as we work to improve this experience for you, James.

Misleading Sale. No Customer Service
I spent over $6,000 for my plunge in order complete cold water exposure therapy year round. I was tired of having to buy ice and wait 20 minutes any time I wanted to do a cold water session.
If you ask the plunge sales bot if the unit can operate in cold temps the answer is "Yes, the Plunge can be used year-round, even in freezing temps, keep the chiller running while in use". Note, I wasn't able to post a screenshot of the chat due to limitations with Trust Pilot.
When unboxing the Plunge the first disclaimer that you read is that you have to winterize the plunge during the first freeze of the year unless you have the heated version of the product. I don't have the heated unit as I wasn't aware of this limitation. It's not made clear during the sales process.
I live in the Midwest and it freezes for a good 4-6 months of the year. So I just paid over $6,000 for a unit a can't use for half of the year.
Frustrated by the lack of year around functionality, I reached out to the Plunge team and requested to upgrade my unit to the heated version so that I could maintain year around use.
I offered to pay for the upgraded unit and just asked that Plunge could waive the 15% restocking fee and the shipping fee due to the misleading information from their sales bot.
In short, Plunge wouldn't acknowledge that their bot provided incorrect information, despite me sending in a screenshot of the conversation. Plunge refused to waive any fees whatsoever and said that I should have known the unit needed winterized since they have it listed in their user manuals posted on the Plunge site.
I can't believe that I spent so much money on a product for Plunge not to be willing to do anything to correct the misleading information posted by their sales bot.
I was planning on spending another $10,000 on the Sauna, which I obviously will no longer be doing. The lack of support and lack of focus on the customer experience and satisfaction really shocked and disappointed me. Especially considering the price tag of their products.
Plunge seems to be making very short sited business decisions and based on the reception I got from their customer service team and the misleading information during the sales process, I cannot recommend their product.
Hope this helps anyone looking to invest in a cold water therapy unit.

Hi Camden,
I do so apologize that this has been your experience with us and appreciate you having created a support ticket back in July.
I do see a member of the Success team attempt to assist you in regards to getting you a replacement unit with an add heater on it.
They did provide you with the return/shipping costs associated with that and do apologize that this was not a satisfactory resolution for you and do see where an employee explained the reasoning for these costs to you.
Once again I do apologize that this was not a resolution that was satisfactory for you as we do want to provide an excellent customer experience for you.
I am creating an additional support ticket in conjunction with your profile and will be reaching out momentarily.
Appreciate your outreach and feedback as we work to improve your experience!

If you’re thinking about buying this…
If you’re thinking about buying this because the branding looks clean and the reviews seem solid, think twice. I’ve used it for just over a week and already the seams are separating and the zipper isn’t holding. The material is nowhere near the quality you’d expect at this price point. It feels like a toy pool rebranded for “wellness.” The kicker? I found the same exact model for sale on Chinese websites without the logo, for under $100. What this brand is doing feels deceptive, and the support didn’t do anything but copy/paste their FAQ.
Response from PlungeAug 20, 2025
Hi George,
I am so sorry to hear that your seams for your unit's cover and the zipper are not holding for you and this has not been the start to your Plunge experience you would have wanted.
I am not currently seeing any orders or support ticket having been created under the name: George Haga.
If support is still needed at this time, please send an email to: [email protected] so we can be sure we are getting you assisted to the best of our ability.
I can ensure you that our units are proprietary and utilized by us at Plunge and any similarities are just that.
Please let us know if we can product any resolutions as needed under our 1 year factory warranty with an outreach to the email address above!
