You will wait on hold forever
I have been waiting to fill this out because I have begun to lose faith in your company. I have had terrible success at contacting you and accomplishing goals. It took months and several calls to make a lump payment to you. I knew there might be a last payment because you could not guarantee a total.
It was by shear luck I noticed there would be one last payment due to finish everything off and there was not enough in the escrow to cover that. Nobody contacted me or tried to set up for a last payment. I don't know what would have happened, but I bet I would have been completely screwed. As it was when I called (always a 45 minute hold to talk to a human) I was told there was no way you could receive the payment in time. After the operator conferred with a manager it was determined I should contact the final creditor and pay them directly. I tried and they were to busy to talk to me so I called you guys back (again 45+ minutes). The operator had no idea what could possibly be done and went again to a supervisor who said all I could do was deal directly with the creditor. I finally got to the creditor and they said they could not talk to me because you guys had power of attorney and they would not tell me anything else. Again I called you (again an over 45 minute wait for service) this time I got somebody who knew something (oddly enough not a supervisor) I believe his name was Kevin (I'm sure you can look it up as he was the last person in your organization I talked to). He contacted the creditor while I waited and helped make a direct transfer from my bank to them.
I really fear I would have been hung out to dry if I hadn't noticed what was going on. You never tried to speed up payments to creditors when the money just sat there. I was charged monthly fees even in the last month when I had to do everything. I'm grateful for getting out of debt and I'm slowly on the road to getting a decent credit score back, but the customer service has been quite lacking. Kevin (or whoever it was) deserves a ton of recognition for saving me and getting you guys to 3 stars.

They did help us, but there are a LOT of fees!
We put 4 cards into a program in August 2014, with a 4 yr pay-off goal. We weren't behind on paying, but knew we wouldn't be able to keep up because our financial situation was changing because of retirement. They told us to quit paying the cards and they would send letters to the creditors and for us to fax them any correspondance we got. We put $575 a month into the account they set up for us with Global Client Solutions. We had been paying about $1100 a month for all 4 cards (which was above the minimum, but we couldn't really see the debt going down). After about 6 months, I got a call that they had negotiated a settlement with the smallest card, but we didn't really have enough reserves built up to pay it, so if we could pay that one ourselves, it would help. I said OK; it was $75 a month for a year, so about $900 , and we owed the card over $3000. After about another 6 months, they negotiated a settlement with Discover. They were supposed to send a letter with the monthly payment amounts, but they did not, so I had to call them again to get it. A few months after that, I got a letter from Citi, which was our largest debt, with a settlement offer, and a "reply by" date. I faxed it to Pioneer. When I hadn't heard anything from Pioneer after a month, I called and asked them if they had set up payments with Citi. I was told we didn't really have enough money in our reserve account and I should just wait until they send another letter. I told them there would be plenty of money in the reserve fund if they didn't take so much of it. I got a call back later on that afternoon that they had set up a payment plan. I asked for a letter with the repayment amounts, but I never got that. By that time, I had learned how to go to the Global Client Solutions acct to see what was going on, so I just went there and wrote it down myself on a piece of paper. After 2 years, there still was no settlement with the 4th card, so I called Pioneer to see if they had contacted that company, which is a local bank. They had sent a letter, but had not received a settlement offer. By that time, 2 of the cards were paid, and the third was set to be paid off by Aug. 2017. I asked what would happen if the first 3 cards were paid, but they still hadn't heard from the 4th. I was told I should just keep paying into the program and they would settle it. Our financial situation had changed again, with my husband and me both now being retired. I had a little bit of money in a pension account, so I decided to wait until January (last month) when the interest from the last quarter of 2016 would be applied, and just take enough from that fund to pay off the 3rd card and take the last card out of the program. I called in December to let them know what I wanted to do, so they could stop my auto-draft for January (there would still be enough $ in our acct to pay the Jan. amount, plus fees. They tried to talk me out of it, but I said I am not asking for your advice, I am telling you what I want to do. The Pioneer fees were $79 a month, and my pension wasn't making that much, plus the $575 a month we were paying into the program was becoming a burden. So that is taken care of, now I am just waiting for a check from Global Client Solutions for what was left in our acct after the last card was paid. BTW, they charged $25 to take the last card out of the program. Overall, I am happy because the program was set up for 4 years and w finished in 2 1/2, but the last card isn't paid. I would say, if you go into a program with Pioneer, be sure to keep an eye on what is going on, because they don't really initiate the conversation. I had to do a lot of calling to find out what was going on, and to keep them on track. They charge $79 a month for "servicing fees", but once the settlements are agreed on, and the $ is being auto-drafted, they aren't really doing anything. In the first year of the program, there are other charges on top of the $79. To be fair, we did have a schedule of the fees when we signed up for the program, but it still seems like a lot of fees and charges to me.

Monthly review
Do you really have to verify my info every month? If I change anything I can inform you. Also instead of a phone review of my account standing you should send a hard copy so I can review it at anytime. I would also like to be reassured that my account is within the ending time frame as promised. I don't want to hear at a later time that the negotiated amounts will cause me to have to continue paying for a year or two more than I agreed to!
Response from Pioneer Law FirmNov 5, 2015
Mr. Rigato, many of our clients find the monthly reviews helpful but if you find them intrusive, you may opt out of them at anytime by calling 800-769-6990. Right now we don't have a system whereby we can send a hard copy summary of everyone's account monthly but you are free to check your GCS trust account 24/7. If you need help logging into that account you can call us and we can help you access that.

The agent was great when started but extremely hard to reach after.
my 3 accounts have been handled acceptably. I want to add a fourth account and after numerous messages I finally got thru and was told to fax the paperwork and then leave a message to say when this was done. I have not heard back yet after leaving doing this twice and also faxing to the general number as told in a review. I:m still waiting to find out what it would cost to add the fourth acct on. Also not happy with the fact that I had to add to my monthly charge to solve the third card.
Response from Pioneer Law FirmAug 6, 2015
We will have someone reach out to you right away about the fourth account you'd like to add. We are pleased to hear the three accounts have been handled to your satisfaction and look forward to helping you resolve the fourth.

Doesn't return emails
I have sent numerous emails to which I get an automated reply that someone will answer. I just sent one last week (July 21) and no one ever responded. I got the automated response with
(Thread:45858) in subject line. The only time I hear from Pioneer is if they need to contact me. This whole thing is very trying and the last thing I need is to know my emails will not be answered. I sent to 3 separate email addresses that I have for Pioneer. I have asked 3 times about my Discover account and have not received any answers. So far I am not real impressed ....
Response from Pioneer Law FirmJul 27, 2015
Thank you for taking the time to alert us to the email issue you're experiencing. We will contact you right away to provide you an update on your Discover account.
