I love PillPack. My medications are on time and accurate. The only drawback is flexibility. My husband and I found ourselves unexpectedly away on business for two weeks more than we planned. Meanwhile, our scripts ran out, but our new scripts had already been sent to our home. This was a problem that resulted in paying out of pocket. If we had been with a pharmacy chain, they could have filled our prescriptions anywhere we would be.

I’m surprised at all the criticisms on this site. I believe that if anything goes wrong the reviewers are very quick to complain, which in a way is understandable because we’re dealing with medications here. On the other hand, because PillPack is dispensing drugs I trust that they have sufficient quality controls or they’d quickly be done in by lawsuits. Over many months I’ve never had an error in my shipments, which always arrive on time. PillPack takes the laboring oar in getting refills and that saves me the headache. The reason I docked a star is because they will only do 30-day supplies, which has a higher copay than 90-day supplies.

I have to update my experience as it is finally set up and working great. Once you get pillpack up and running, it is a great system to have for an elderly person. Read below to know what it is like to get started. What a great concept but a nightmare to set up for an elderly person with early signs of dementia. The first 3 shipments arrived missing pills because previous pharmacy had filled them but we didn’t get notification from pill pack that they weren’t all coming. Hours have been spent on the phone after each shipment with the Dr., previous pharmacy and pill pack and they still send shorted supplies. Just do me a favor and call me BEFORE you ship if you aren’t sending everything on the list you show you are sending online. So now patient cuts open every pack and takes pills from both bottle and pack. Confusing for dementia patient. Defeats the purpose. Each month it states correct shipment is coming but it arrives minus pills. Every month pill pack confirms this order will be perfect but never is. FRUSTRATING!!!!

I’ve never had a problem with PillPak until now. I was supposed to get my meds Dec. 28, but have not received it yet. I think the issue is with UPS. I’ve missed my morning doses, so I hope the shipment comes in today. Not a big emergency, but I really shouldn’t be missing my thyroid meds. Otherwise, I have enjoyed the convenience of this service. My home pharmacy is awful. Long lines and mixed up prescriptions. PillPak is great! Usually.
