I regret ever having tried this…
I regret ever having tried this service. Literally every single thing they have done, they have screwed it up. They have a fundamental problem with how they work that when you first sign up, they fill all your prescriptions weeks early, but they don't check to make sure you have enough to last until the start date for when they send them. So if you run out before then -- guess what? You have to pay out of pocket, because your insurance thinks you've already filled your script for the month. And you can't just go get a week's worth locally because your scripts are now held by Pillpack! You have to wait on them to send them to you. And I'm just lucky I thought to check it on my own because I imagine a lot of people would just trust that they'd get their medication on time as the company promises. On my first box, they sent me an email telling me my medication list and when to expect it about 2 weeks after I'd signed up. I saw a medication was missing and contacted them immediately -- they basically said sorry, your script ran out and we tried to contact your dr, but he didn't get back with us so you're out of luck. And no, I couldn't call my dr and get the script approved because they'd already packed up my packets for the month and they couldn't add them at that point. They didn't contact me any up until that point so we could avoid this problem. Other problems -- they ran out of the "premium dispenser" I had ordered so instead of just sending me the cardboard one until they had them again, they literally just sent me a roll of pill packets in a bag. What even? Also, it says that you can customize when you want to take your meds, but no one ever asked me this. I take a lot of pills with supplements and all, and one of them makes me really sleepy, so I take it at night. Well too bad -- they put every single pill in your morning dose, unless you take it twice a day. So my morning packet literally has all my pills in it and my evening packet has 1. So far I've had to send 4 emails, make 3 phone calls, make an extra trip to the dr (so also a $35 copay) and about $25 out of pocket for scripts covered by my insurance and I don't actually start my medications they sent for 2 more days, so things are not looking good. I'm so glad I went to all this trouble for the "convenience" of taking my pills out of a big paper sack, because that's much better than opening bottles. I can't wait until I finish the damn roll of pills and I will never complain about Walgreens again. Oh -- and could you have even found bigger horse-pill looking versions of my vitamins than the ones you included? I doubt it.
