Pickup MusicReviews of pickupmusic.com

First of all, it's not just a learning site, it's a real community with friendly people ready to help and share their knowledge. It's constantly evolving and they won't hesitate to listen to students' suggestions to improve on the site and content. There are new classes being added every week with different teachers with different approaches and styles so I can always find something that suits me and when I don't have time, there are always the "5-minute lessons". The videos are of excellent quality so it's pleasant to watch. But really, @Pickup Music, you're passionate about what you're doing and it shows.

Quite a really helpful music page with different weekly challenges to help one grow as a musician

Great material, excellent instructors, an easy and user friendly platform, all an affordable price. Pickup music is amazing.

I have found Pickup Music to be an extremely valuable resource. Once I was no longer a beginner, I found traditional lessons to be less and less helpful; an online forum with tons of well-organized specific lessons proved to be a much better use of my time. Since there are a lot of things I'm aware I'd like to work on/practice, being able to search through the lessons at my own pace is awesome. Everything is filmed very well, videos are cut into sections so you can revisit them easily, and the jam tracks are a lot of fun to play along to. If you are self-driven, it is more than worth the money.

Pickup music delivers exactly what's written on the box. I'm still far from feeling like a great guitarist but it helped me so much with my music theory and my improv skills, I can only recommend it! You just got to put in the work and the hours, but it's an incredible, well designed, user friendly learning tool.

Great learning resource, it is frequently updated with new content ranging from short song and technique lessons to in depth college level courses. I have been very happy with my membership.

I’ve been with pickup for a LONG time and haven’t used the service in a while; however, I haven’t unsubscribed because I feel that they make content in an appropriate way for those learning and looking for motivation and want the service to thrive for those who do use it regularly. The depth of content is incredible and the outreach is also thorough through social media. I think the reason I’ve moved away from regular use is that the content isn’t always directed towards my goals and learning type. I’ve retired myself from “Instagram” playing for the most part and am trying to develop new techniques. Lately I’ve been interested in more in depth courses that delve into concepts more thoughtfully, I.e. Cory Wong’s new course. More often than not I don’t think I’m interested in the format of “10 Licks like ‘fill in the blank’” and want something deeper. Again PLEASE keep these types of content rolling because it helps people who are new and wanting to learn, but as a player of about 16 years I just need more involved learning/performing. Thank again for the service!

I decided to revisit guitar playing after I retired and having played quite a lot in my youth but not really getting anywhere quickly. I just love the neo-soul/ jazz vibe and can honestly say that Pickup has been the single most critical factor in encouraging me back. I have learned more in a few years than I did in decades. All the artists at Pickup are so generous of their time and expertise. They deserve your support. You won’t regret it.
