Pickup MusicReviews of pickupmusic.com

So far I am on day 4 of the 14 day trial and I've had a blast with the lessons I've chosen to tackle. It's been an absolute blast, and I actually feel like I'm seeing small bits of progress in the things I'm practicing. As always, practice is what makes a good lesson plan work, self accountability is key to success.

Cecil Alexander and Sam Blakelock's jazz pathway is really well structured. Highly recommended.

Such an amazing site. I have all I need to learn guitar. No more frustrating Youtube tutorials! Pickup music is literally the BEST place for learning guitar. 10 stars!!

Been playing for two years. Can mostly play and fingerpick most songs. Learned everything from youtube. Stuck because ive ran out of songs to play. Does this sound like you too? I bumped into pickup music and took the free trial. I can say that this is the best tool for people with a DRIVE to get better at guitar. Period. Im currently on the 3rd grade of Dr Millers “CAGED” pathway and it is truly beneficial for all guitarists to learn. At 44 years old, im not exactly a spring chicken and haven’t learned anything in a structured “class setting” like this in 20 years. I can say the lessons are short enough for my attention span and interesting enough to keep going. Great program, and if they are all like this (i plan on doing all of them) i can only be a better player at the end. Highly recommend. Thanks for reading.

These are well thought out guitar lessons and the videos are good quality. I have a habit of trying to rush ahead to play things beyond my ability but the Pickup lessons help keep me on track. The riffs and exercises at each step sound great as well so it really helps motivate me as I’m actually playing real music along with a band! I’m also learning about music theory along the way. Really great stuff.

I love the structure, I’ve basically been an experience learner akin to a parrot, and this is fulfilling the goal to be more technical… I’ve only been able to start this past week due to twins and everything but I legitimately wake up looking forward to the days lesson… My only critique would be at the moment that I’m on the song learning of the grade 1 on neo soul, and some of the teachers will use different hand positions for their chord transitions and it can be a tad confusing, but otherwise i look forward to more lessons in the future

Neatly organized lessons, wonderful teachers, and a step by step ramp exercise plan with each course - PickupMusic is the best online guitar lesson site out there.

The learning pathways are extremely well done. Pickup Music does what it advertises. It takes guitarists like me who have learnt through mostly random youtube videos and gives us clear step by step ways to progress. Ultimately the work is up to you, but having pickup music means i wont be lacking for knowledge.
