Accountability is a powerful tool for growth. Knowing that after each grade, a skilled guitarist is going to review your performance and give you honest feedback and techniques is incredible. I watched Ben review my last video and as he's watching my video, his head is bobbin and he's got that shredder face on while I'm playing, I seriously felt like I was playing a show lol. But I was also confident that I wasn't being judged, I was being critiqued and that my friends, is something we ALL need. Beyond that, the lessons are formulated so smart. Every lesson stacks upon the last one, and if you spend just a few minutes a day practicing effectively, you will get to a point where you aren't even thinking anymore and music is just flowing through you. Isn't that the goal? Where you shut your mind off and actually just flow? I'll keep it real, these lessons are the price of 1 burrito a month, 1 freaken burrito can change your musical outlook ENTIRELY. I've fallen back in love with music again, I no longer see myself as a person who just plays guitar, but instead a musician, and I'm excited to see the musician I become over the next months and years.

Lots of different styles. Excellent foundational lessons. Clearly explained and demonstrated. Production is good. It’s well organized and progresses logically

I wrote a song that sounded like jazz. Pickup Music's Jazz pathway helped me understand why and what I had done to get that sound. Now, I'm moving on to grade 4 of the Jazz pathway. I'm very happy with it. It's got me thinking that I chose the wrong career; "I should have been a professional musician." There is A LOT to learn, but it's easily digestible. When you get hung up on something, Pickup Music's staff are very good at responding to any questions and suggestions that you have. Although jazz guitar is becoming more and more demystified, but it's still magic. After I finish the final grade, I see myself revisiting the course to find nuggets that I missed and for refreshers. I'm glad that I saw Pickup's ad before I got rid of my social media. I hope I don't get flagged for promos, but I been listening to Cecil Alexander's Album INTRODUCING for about three or four weeks straight. He's legit.

Really clear concise videos, easy to follow, lots of repetition! All over a great course! Only thing I’d enjoy more is if there were more variety in the pieces to learn?

The CAGED pathway is very intuitive and broken down in very manageable daily lessons. Bit by bit, I've developed a much better visualization and understanding of the fretboard. Love it!

I think this course is fun and innovative. Keeps you engaged and learning.
