Terrible customer care
I have received absolutely terrible customer service from this pharmacy at The Galleries, in Washington. I suffer with chronic migraines, as diagnosed by a Consultant Neurologist and my GP has referred me to a specialist, who I saw yesterday. He has put me on 8mg of Candesartan, but told me that it’ll take several weeks before it starts to reduce the frequency and severity of my migraine headaches, which are very severe. Up until this point, and after seeing two different GP’s, I’ve been buying Nurofen Plus, as instructed by my doctor. Unfortunately, I have now been refused service, on the grounds of the medication being addictive due to containing codeine phosphate. On a few occasions, I’ve been dealt with by a little, Indian pharmacist, who is possibly the rudest, least caring man I’ve met in recent years. His advice - just take paracetamol and see your doctor. I’ve explained that I’ve seen two doctors and now a specialist and that I just need to get through the few remaining weeks, but he wouldn’t serve me, leaving me in pain, distressed and obviously unable to see a doctor for days. I’m a qualified healthcare professional and I know, only too well, what pharmacists are and are not allowed to do, and I really feel like this man is just getting off abusing the little power he has. I have offered to show him my appointment updates, on my phone, but he couldn’t have cared less. I’m a firm believer in that people who work in healthcare should be caring and empathetic, so I just don’t understand this man’s poor attitude. He knows only too well that a migraine cannot effectively be treated with paracetamol and he’s acting like I’ve not bothered to get the appropriate help. I’m very angry and disappointed and may yet raise a formal complaint re: this man and his complete lack of care and professionalism, not to mention his rude behaviour. Thank you Dr. Robinson
