My initial purchase with Pet Zone was for 3 Halloween crabs which were DOA, I understand this happens. Shipping of course was non refundable so I figured I would use my store credit to order plants and get free shipping for my second order. There was an issue with the free shipping and my store credit so I contacted customer service and was told that shipping would be reimbursed. At this point I was very satisfied with the customer service and the plants arrived in good shape! Unfortunately even after contacting 2 times after the purchase, I was not reimbursed shipping and my emails were left unanswered. I understand small businesses can get overwhelmed very easily but a bit more follow up communication would have been nice, other than that the actual orders were packaged well and arrived on time.

I hate to leave negative feedback, as up until my most recent purchase, I've had fantastic service. However, one of the 4 fiddler crabs I'd purchased were not shipped/only received 3, and one of my bumblebee gobies was DoA.

First fish died in a week. Second one lasted a month longer then it died. Both were Bichirs. I have other small Bichirs in the tank as well. They’re still alive. Have no idea what was the deal with those two newbies. ( I have three tanks. A 300 gallon with VERY large Bichirs in it that I’ve had since they were a few inches. I also have a 180 gallon with 3 year old Discus [very delicate fish] & the other tank is a 150 gallon with the small Bichirs (6) . I’m in my 40’s! …. I’ve been keeping fish since I was 11 years old & at that age , I worked at a local Fish store until I was 15. I’ve been in the hobby for over 30 years! Longer than some ppl have been alive. Water parameters wouldn’t just kill two fish and not harm the others ijs ….. Anyways, I’m not blaming the petstore for these fish dying because “stuff” happens it could be a number of reasons for them dying that may or may Not be the sellers fault….. Bichirs aren’t very active so it’s extremely hard to tell if they were feeling ill that entire time until they died…. As you stated…. Bichirs are very hardy fish! They don’t just die right off the bat. They’re Die Hards )

Ali, we are sorry to hear about the bichirs. We do quarantine our fish for a long while prior to placing them into our stocking tanks and all fish are ensured to be stable prior to shipment. We do have a guarantee on our fish if you were to contact us within reasonable time per our live arrival guarantee T/Cs. These are very hardy and tough fish so that leads us to believe the water parameters in your tank may not be up to standard for their needs and/or not fully cycled.
