Pip our sweet Yorkshire had a wonderful visit. The staff was so loving and attentive to him! Love the cams that you can see your pet playing inside. He greeted us happily, showing no trauma from being away from us for eight days!

(A) Our indoor-only cat who never had fleas in her life came home covered in fleas after two nights At Pet Paradise Bartram. She never left the cat condo during her stay, as we noted by camera and as the staff confirmed by observation. Our dogs came home with fleas as well, but since they take Bravecto they were not infested like the poor cat. I called the manager to inform her about the fleas, and she became angry and said there is no way on earth our cat got fleas in that condo because there was no bedding for the fleas. Look, the reality is the cat did not have fleas before she went there and we've had her almost three years, and she came home with a severe infestation. The vet said that fleas do not need bedding. They can live 100 days off an animal when none are present, and when an animal is present fleas only spend 15% of their time on the animal, and 85% off. I expected the manager to say something like, "We do try to stay on top of fleas, but because we have all kinds of animals coming through here, issues do happen. Thank you for bringing this to my attention and we will bring the exterminator in to do an extra treatment." No, instead she yelled at me and refused to take any responsibility. If she had been mature about it and taken responsibility I would be assured that others will not go through what we did (spending hundreds of dollars on treatment for our pets and home). Since she will not protect future clients, I will have to do so by leaving reviews online, such as this one. I have only once ever left negative feedback about a business before. I prefer dealing directly with a business when I have a problem, but she refused to listen. (B) I had my two dogs in the VIP suite ($180 a night), which is supposed to include day camp. I think they completely forgot my German Shepherd one day. I never saw her go out that day. Because I did not check the cameras between 9 and 1, I do not know whether she went out during that time, but from 1 PM Wednesday until 3:30 PM Thursday she was in solitary confinement in that room. I began calling at about 4:00 on Wednesday but could not get through. I finally spoke with a reservations specialist who also could not get through, but left a message for the manager to call me back. They never called back, so I called again and the reservations people did get through. They said that my dog had gotten hot so they put her back inside to cool off. I say they forgot she existed, because even after I spoke with them about her being neglected in a room alone they still never took her out of that room again except for potty walks until I picked her up the next afternoon at around 3:30! That is a minimum of 26 hours in that room except for potty walks. That is CRUEL and I did not pay $180 a night for my two dogs in that suite for her to suffer that way. She was supposed to get day camp, not solitary confinement. Even if she did get hot, take her inside for an hour and then take her back out. Cool her off bu the pool - they have two! (C) My German Shepherd came home from boarding with diarrhea. She is being treated with Flagyl. (D) Here is my positive feedback: The lady who takes care of the small dogs in "Tinytown" is amazing and really took care of my little dog nicely. Thank you to her! (E) However, they did not do right by my little Pomeranian either. When I came for the tour before their reservation, I asked if they would have. a problem with my sending along Puppy Pads for my Pomeranian, who is paper-trained. They said we would need to ask the manager in case it might be a choking hazard. We went to the manager who approved the papers. Because her needs could be accommodated, I booked my reservation. After dropping the dogs off, I waited an hour or so to give the staff time to put the papers down. (I was checking on the webcam.) No papers were down yet, so I called to remind them. I called two or three times that day, but no papers were ever put down. (See attached screenshot of poo and pee on the floor, no puppy pad in sight). When I called the NEXT day about my German Shepherd being neglected, I complained about the papers as well. It had been 29 or 30 hours since dropping off my dogs, and they still had not put the papers down. The dogs' room was literally like 20 feet from the front desk. It would not have been hard. Finally I convinced them to put the papers down. I saw on the webcam that my doh popped on the papers, but they never took it out and put clean papers! They should hire more staff if there are not enough people there to meet the needs of ALL animals they care for, and hire exterminators to get rid of their flea infestation. They should not donate to charity before meeting their obligations to paying clients. I will not board my animals by Pet Paradise ever again!
