Max
Scammy spammy money-grubbing company
Despite repeated unsubscribe from marketing emails, they keep spamming “One-Year Premium Registration Expires” and try to extort you to pay $19.95 or else you can’t have “unlimited access to your Petlink profile” whatever that means. This deceptive marketing tactic has garnered a class action lawsuit for another microchip company, guess petlink wants one as well? No, it doesn’t mean your pet will no longer be registered. Microchips have permanent data, so anyone who scans will find the pets owner. Do not let these jerks scam you into paying.

Hi Max, Thank you for contacting PetLink. Unsubscribing from PetLink emails only applies to certain messages (i.e.: offers for the PetLink Store, The PetLink Blog, etc.) Messages that we deem critical (i.e.: lost/found pets, transfers of ownership, PW changes, payments notices, etc.) are not applicable to opt out requests. Your pet’s first year with their microchip registration has been prepaid by your veterinarian or shelter organization and as your 1-year anniversary approaches we begin a set of scheduled reminders that the one-time upgrade fee of $19.95 is required if you wish to have access to premium lifetime membership as outlined below • Ability to update your contact information as needed • Add/edit 2 emergency contacts • Upload a picture of your pet for visual identification • Access our lost pet posters • Download a copy of your pet’s microchip certificate to serve as proof of registration After the first year you will not be removed from our database and the choice to upgrade is yours. Best, The PetLink Team
