Kind of expensive. If someone steals your dog and never takes it to the Vet, you may not find your pet again.

Technically what you say is true - if your pet's microchip isn't scanned, it would not be identified as yours and returned to you. But, fortunately there are also a lot of good people out there who find pets and take the steps necessary to get their microchips scanned and to help get them back home to their families.

Let me start with, I’m sure if my pet gets lost i will love this company but first impressions matter and they werent good. I signed up online and couldnt remove $16pet tag automatically added to my order so i calles instead and operator tried to tell me my total was the same as online without mentioning the pet tag again! She took it off my payment but def not cool to sneak it in without notice.

Your advertisement says it's free. Then when you get on line to register they encourage you to PAY for additional services.

We don't advertise our service as free. You might have us confused with a different company. Registration has a cost, just like other services that you pay for, and our costs are detailed on our website. I thought that the website was a bit confusing. I'm still not sure if I needed to purchase the PetKey tracking service for lost dog. I thought that there was a way for veterinarians to track dogs by their chip number. Purchased the year tracking service just to be certain if my dog got away from me she could be traced.

Registration of a pet's microchip is important for registration company/ownership data to be made available in the national database of microchip registrations. Microchips are not trackable, and vets do not maintain a registration database, that's what microchip registration companies do.

I know it’s COVID and all... but when someone e-mails customer service with a question and NO ONE replies, and then the account that has been paid up for THE PET’S LIFETIME is still also being used to send out SPAM regarding purchasing the lifetime plan with the Adoption Agency’s original name for the animal attached to the e-mail (For example, I renamed my cat from the name they gave him in “kitty prison...” the SPAM keeps referring to him by his Prison name) It’s a bit of a glaring error on the part of the server and quality control. I hope that my future contact with this company make me feel like I can improve this score... because, at the moment, I’m STILL not sure my cat TRULY IS GOING TO BE tracked because the customer database doesn’t seem to recognize him now that he’s “out of prison” even though I registered him under the exact same microchip number. I may have spent a lot of money for nothing... because Customer Service doesn’t respond to e-mails apparently.
