We get all of our pets used. Seven years ago we adopted Roomba from the shelter in Truckee and she was chipped with a PetKet chip. As she is an indoor-only cat we never bothered to register as her new owner. It wasn't until California wildfires spurred the need for a Cat GO BAG (if you aren't from around here you might want to look this up) that I recognized the importance of validating her chip, which I did recently. The process was easy and affordable. Should the need for it ever occur, we now are assured we will be contacted via Roomba's chip. One less thing to worry about-- thanks PetKey.
